I side with the Cavs here. Will be eating popcorn and watching this.

What is your favorite type of popcorn?

TT sort of has the Cavs over the barrel and yet if you are the Cavs no way is TT worth the max even with a rising cap. However they are going to be over the cap for the foreseeable future so they can't really add anyone so...how much do they budge?

Can't believe what he got signed for. Love Cousin's response. I would trade the farm for Cousin at this point with only Wiggins and Towns being off limits.

Well good for TT and good for the Cavs and I'm glad it got done. I'm certainly glad we aren't paying that kind of money to him. Lol

Me too, monster. The Cavs payroll including tax this year is going to be over $170 million  , so that is a very expensive deal for them to swallow. Cavs' ownership needs a championship to justify that kind of cash outflow, but how likely is that with their big three and several other key players battling injuries as the season starts?

It will all be on Blatt. He just needs to make sure everyone is healthy come April. He has some more depth this year that is not 100% over the hill so they should be able to tread water in the east and make the playoffs. Then if everyone is healthy go to work. I think Mo Williams and oddly Richard Jefferson will be big pick ups for them.

I agree. I will add that putting Delly at 3rd PG instead of backup is good for depth. Sasha Kaun is an interesting pickup for them. He has history with Blatt and will probably be one of those solid bench guys that can steal you minutes here and there when needed.

Not really, the dude is worth billions, quicken loans seems to be doing quite well. Also weird that there are 200 million dollar payrolls in baseball and nobody blinks an eye, but basketball and football, we act like the owners are somehow putting their financial lives at risk.

Hell Joe Mauer signed a 180 million dollar contract! That's more then the whole Cavs payroll!

True, the guy is worth billions. But with a $170 million cash outflow this year, the guy is probably going to have a cash loss of about $100 million, and that's gonna leave a mark. I'm pretty sure he won't be a happy billionaire if he drops $100 million and doesn't get a ring in return...even if they do win it all, that's an expensive ring!

Baseball stadiums are usually around twice as big as basketball stadiums and they play almost twice as many games. They have a lot more money coming in from game operations than basketball. A bad day at the park attendance wise is almost a full capacity basketball game. Literally the lowest attended game in the Twins history happened this year at Target Field and it was less than 2K off from max capacity in the Target Center. Also using the total of Mauer's contract is dumb. People forget the years when KG and Shaq were making almost 30 million a year with no cap.
