Wolves @ Thunder

Post by Camden [enjin:6601484] »

First game we get to see Westbrook and Rubio go at it. Again, I feel like we match up well with the Thunder. That notion is even stronger in my eyes now that we have Mbah a Moute who can guard Durant as well as Brewer, who did a very good job on him last time.

Love needs to get out of this funk he's in. 21 and 11 last night, but it wasn't pretty nor was it efficient. K-Mart was great last night and he'll need to be once again on this second half of the B2B. Martin against Thabo still favors Martin, in my opinion.

Will the bench step up again? We'll need it. Hopefully we get the good JJ tonight, and DC's mid-range jumper is on.

I also wouldn't mind seeing Shabazz and Dieng getting minutes. Have to get them some PT, especially in games like this where the competition is high.

Go Wolves! Let's get this second win over OKC!

Probably a loss tonight, but I wouldn't completely count the Wolves out. The Thunder have a great record, but I do think they are more vulnerable than past seasons--they have played a lot of close games this year. If either Durant or Westbrook have a bad game they are beatable.

Of those two, Westbrook is the guy that is more likely to have that 5 for 21 shooting night. So Rubio's defense could be the key. I think he should take a page out of LRMAM's playbook and try to play Westbrook a certain way: give him the outside shot, take away the drive, and concentrate on keeping him off the offensive board. To do this I think Ricky needs to gamble less and focus on staying between Russ and the basket.

My prediction tonight is a competitive game through three quarters but OKC pulls away big in the 4th.

I agree, cam, that we match up well against OKC, and we usually play them tough. But I'm afraid tonight's another story. Line opened at 8 1/2 and never moved, so Vegas likes OKC a lot. Too many negative factors:

1) Revenge game for OKC
2) Second half of a BTB for us against a rested team
3) OKC really tough at home
4) Although Love was gutty last game, he just hasn't been sharp for about 10 days.

Come on, Wolves...prove me wrong!

Man, Love always comes to play against OKC. I may have to edit my game prediction post above at the risk of losing all credibility.

Mbah a Moute about to lockdown KD. Take his oxygen away.

Props to Barea for not blowing the game up for the Wolves. Maybe good Barea tonight (fingers crossed)

6-point lead after 1Q. I'll take it even though it should be 10.
