I think DWill would have been a better play then Moute last night. I wish we would have traded for Jason Thompson instead of Moute. He would have given us some length.

Lip and Jason - this post had nothing to do with the Miami game. I kind of expected a hiding and only bothered watching a quarter on a grainy stream.

You can blame the complete second unit, sure they are all playing D League calibre games, but at the end of day Barea should be producing against opposition bench lineups. A lot of people here praise him for his ability to get off his own shot, but if jacking up a contested layup while his team mates stand around looking is considered being able to create your own shot, then god help us!

At the end of the day I'm just bitter watching our second unit get dominated and lose our starters lead. Both Cunningham and Barea's minutes need to be reduced. It's time Dieng and Muhammad get some decent minutes to develop.

P.S Jason, how goods Afflalo been this season? He would have been a great addition.........

1. Very funny.

2. There are and have been higher expectations of JJ than Dante. JJ is the only player on the team with championship experience (as well as other reasons)

3. The wolves did well on the trade with Sac by getting a more efficient scorer than we sent them and a much better defender. Atleast we received a player that deserves PT. All knew that D-Will didn't. Sac didn't have any decent scorers that they would have been willing to give up.

JJ is playing farthest below expectations on a team where Love, Rubio, and most of the bench are playing below expectations.

Mbah a Moute is not a scorer by any definition. Scoring almost entirely on bunnies makes being efficient at it quite irrelevant.

It might be a good trade... but it will have nothing to do with Moute's offensive game. He's bad offensively...

He is more efficient than D-will offensively.......and they are both bad offensively.....just Luc is better.

Everything is relative to the money they make. JJ makes about $5M, and is expected to be a key part of our second unit. As already stated, the maddening thing about him is his inconsistency. It isn't even game to game, but rather quarter-to-quarter and play-to-play. For every great play he makes, he seemingly makes 3-4 grave errors in judgement..usually on his way to the basket.

IMO, (long term), he is one of those dreaded mid-level max deals. Chase, JJ, Brewer, Luc make almost $20M. While I would agree you need decent role players, these are the guys blocking us from getting another max-type talent to pair with Love. None of them are game changers, and I believe there skill sets can be replaced for much cheaper guys. This team is in trouble.

Worst of all, this team is inept at being able to find cheap talent anywhere. From America to Qatar we literally can't find a meaningful contributor for a vet min

The one advantage to our role players making so much money is they make it easy to become a trade partner for a big fish. JJ and LRMAM are expirings next year which is almost 9 million combined with Bud and Brewer only being signed through the year after at almost 10 million combined. That saves any trade partner some significant long-term dollars. Throw in Shved's 3 million expiring next year and we can pass out 12 million in expirings which is a significant amount of any deal. I have no idea who we would go after, but it is nice to know we have pieces outside of our core that could land us a significant piece if an unexpected seller emerged.

Another 0 - 5 shooting night from Barea. His numbers are now down to .38 fg and .26 3fg. Rubio's shooting numbers are more impressive!

Kahn's -- Good point about Luc only having one more year left after this one. And like JJ, his deal only pays around $4 million next season. So perhaps the two can be packaged at some point.

Kahn's point is good, but caps space is more valuable then expiring contracts. .
