Toughest NBA Player?
We did most hated and favorite nba player. I thought I would mix it up and ask who you think is the toughest NBA player? I'll go first:
Current Timberwolf - Pekovic (For obvious reasons)
Past Timberwolf - Sprewell (Choked his coach)
Current NBA Player - This may come as a surprise to some, but I'm gonna go with David West (Watch a ton of NBA games and anytime I watch an Indiana game, different announcers from different teams have the same thing to say: nobody messes with David West)
Past NBA Player - Charles Oakley

Re: Toughest NBA Player?
Do you mean tough as in someone you wouldn't want to fight or someone that can play through injuries? I'll make my post an interesting one. First, I'll go current and past players that I wouldn't want to fight. Then I'll go guys that I think I could actually hang with or beat in a fight. After that, I'll go with my basketball tough player in the NBA today.
Wouldn't want to fight in the NBA today: Andre Drummond, David West, LeBron James, Joakim Noah, Ron Artest, Kevin Garnett, Kawhi Leonard, DeAndre Jordan, Andre Iguodala and Ricky Rubio because he's just too damn cute to lay a finger on lol.
Wouldn't want to fight in the NBA back in the day: Dennis Rodman, Charles Barkley, Shaq, Chris Webber, Alonzo Mourning and last but definitely not least, Larry Bird.
Guys I could beat in the NBA (predominantly PGs because well, I'm not damn power forward): Luke Ridnour, Steve Nash, Brandon Jennings, Brandon Knight, Steph Curry, Jeremy Lin, Jordan Farmar, Hedo Turkoglu, Kirk Hinrich, Jeff Teague, Marcus Teague and what would probably be the funnest matchup, Kyrie Irving.
The guy that is the most basketball tough in today's game: Kobe Bryant. Kobe has played through every minor/medium injury that I can recall. It takes something extremely serious to get that man off the court. The fact he's working to come back after his last injury is crazy to me, but it actually looks like he's way ahead of schedule. That's just physical toughness. His mental toughness is unquestioned. When Kobe's on the floor, he truly believes that he cannot be stopped and that he's the best player on this great earth. Game-winning shots? Kobe wants that shot and more than most, he makes them. Clutch free throws to determine a win or tied game? They're automatic. I can't talk enough about how much respect I have for Kobe in terms of basketball. That man is a winner and it's been a treat to watch his career.

Camden, you wouldn't want to fight Garnett? Why? Because you wouldn't be able to catch him as he ran for cover? He's a pussy.

For current toughest player I'm going to say Kenneth Faried.
Historically one name stands at the top of the list and many of you haven't heard of him: Maurice Lucas who had his best years in Portland. Check him out and you will be convinced.

Hell nah I'm not fighting Garnett's crazy ass. He's too big and too psycho for me to risk it.
Re: Toughest NBA Player?
Past is easy, Ben Wallace!
Cool is right that KG is a pussy! Ever since the PO's against Seattle when Vin Baker started poking KG in the chest, the man has been all talk. Guys like Peeler, and Mcdyess proved that as well.
For a twolf, I would take Tommy Hammonds.

We never talk about Kobe on this board - probably because most folks don't like him, but he's played through so many injuries and illnesses that it's impossible to count. He's also mentally tough. Sorry.

JJ is tougher then Pek in my opinion. He won't back down. I always thought Reggie Evans was a tough player.

Evans is a big man and plays gritty basketball, but he has a woman's voice. I can't call him tough lol.
