Fork in the Road - GDT
Fork in the Road - GDT
We've had "big games" in the past, and I'm sure we'll have big games in the future. But for me, I see this game as a Fork in the Road. A loss tonight takes the path to the lottery, and our focus will be on #13, and not #14. A win keeps the path to the playoffs open (and many more forks yet to come).
So let's f'n win!

How sad would a loss be tonight. Yikes.

I'm sorry Camden. I like reading your posts. But this has to be the 10th critical do or die juncture in our season (by all posters). I'm getting weary with "this is it" scenarios. What we have is a >500 team. period. Flip, your move

Do you mean < .500 (less than) or > .500 (better than) team? I'd say we're about a .500 team right now
Re: Fork in the Road - GDT
Either or, about.500. And it was 60WinTim's post. We regret the error

We've certainly had "big games" the past few weeks. And we seem to have plenty of jumping off the bandwagon when we lose one of those "big games". But it's not me. Tonight, it is. Win, or go home.
I highly recommend listening to today's Funkadelic. Lot's of good stuff. Flip thinks the 8th seed gets in with 46 wins (the KOM says 50). And even Flip says these next 4 games are kind of do or die. They are tough games, but he's thinking 3-1 is needed to keep the Wolves in the mix.
Must win tonight!

I'm holding out hope they can still make a run. But to do that they have to find some wins before the all-star break. At the very least hold the fort. Tonight is a game they have to get.
Here's the reality though: No Pek, and Love is a big question mark. If he's hobbled he might actually be a liability. Then again the guy has played like a warrior when he's been hurt, so I wouldn't bet against him.
I'm looking to see aggro Ricky again tonight. Also, if there was ever a time for JJ to actually play like Michael Jordan, instead of just believing he can play like him, this would be a good time. A breakout game for Dieng would also be huge--we will need him against the emerging (or emerged) beast that is Anthony Davis.

I just listened to the Funkadelic......Flip got the Wolves record wrong on the Funkadelic......sorta disappointing.
It sounds like he and Adelman are not on the same sheet of music. Whenever Flip gets asked a question and he says, "Well, 1st, you would have to ask the coach." is not a very confidence inspiring answer. I'm not saying that Flip is wrong for that, but it seems obvious that there is disagreements in the front office.
Flip also doesn't think that the Wolves aren't "edgy enough". I agree.

I agree markkbu. We are seeing some of the reasons Morey tired of Adelman in Houston...
When the "edgy" talk came up, the first thing that struck me was JR Smith!
