Anyone notice that Denver currently does not have one healthy PG on their roster. Foye started for them last night and I'm not sure who was playing the point while he was off.
Ty Lawson is day to day with a rib injury. Nate Robinson is out for the season with an ACL injury. And Andre Miller is in coach Shaw's dog house.
We have three guys that they might be interested in: J.J Barea, Alexey Shved and AJ Price. I know Flip has mentioned there's a 90% chance no moves will be made before deadline, but I think they need to act and try and get Miller while Denver's in this crisis.
Give them the pick of Shved or Barea, Dante Cunningham and a second round pick for Miller and Anthony Randolph.
Make sense for both teams.

I would love to move Barea.

Re: Denver's PG Crisis
Crisis is a strong word period, but when used in describing the day-to-day issues of a .500 NBA team (that knew it was going to be a .500 team because they lost their second best player {Galinari} for the season back in training camp), it's borderline comical.
I know that the thought of a Miller/Barea deal conjures the same emotions with some people on this board as watching the pizza guy get seduced in a p/o/r/n/o, but it's not happening. Miller is a valuable commodity that is not going to be given away.
If I'm DEN, there's only two moves I'm making this deadline:
Miller/Arthur to WSH for Ariza/Harrington
Faried/Mcgee/Hickson to NYK for Shumpert/Chandler/Martin
If it's a no, then it's a no, but I'm not panicking. Next year they get Galinari back, and they have NY's first from the Melo deal, though they have to send their own to ORL in the Howard/Iggy/Bynum clusterfk.
And how does Cunningham solve their point guard "crisis"?

^ This coming from the guy who said Afflalo wasn't worth his contract and that half the teams in the NBA would chase Pek's signature in the offseason.......
And yes I'd say having 0 healthy PG's on your roster is a bit of a crisis. Oh and Cunningham's an expiring so is one of the few assets we have left.

A few things
1. I actually live in Orlando, and there has been about 1,000 newspaper/magazine/web articles about his turnaround because it seems everyone is as shocked as me. And they all go the same way: Some one asks him why he no longer sucks, and he says he worked out over the summer. REALLY?!?!!? It just dawned on him he might need to do that? When they ask him why, he says he now realizes he a "leader", instead of giving the real answer, which is he is hoping he is traded to a contender, which will never happen if he still sucks.
2. YOU were the one who had Pek being signed and traded, and if I remember correctly, to POR. OH WAIT I DON'T HAVE TO REMEMBER. I CAN JUST GO TO THE BSPN PAGE AND LOOK!
3. Sorry, I don't live in Narnia. I've seen real "crisis". And a non playoff team playing out the string using a combo guard at point doesn't qualify. But if you're that convinced, go tell it on the Nugget page. Who knows, you might like it better and stay. I miss you already.

Re: Denver's PG Crisis
Apparently Miller's only guarenteed $2M next year if we cut him. So there's that. We'd probably keep him, though, if acquired.

I was about to ask you the same question. Suck it. And once again, feel free to go to the Nugget board and let all of them know what a crisis this is. I miss you already.
Re: Denver's PG Crisis
Why so serious Jason? Don't worry I wont hold all this against you.
I'm sure there were a lot of teams we didn't hear about chasing Pek's signature this off season with their plethoric cap space. As for the overpaid Afflalo whose name you couldn't stand been thrown in the same sentence as 'T Wolves', well he proved you wrong didn't he?
I think what hurts you the most is my assumptions and predictions from the cave in Narnia I live in were more accurate than yours living in the same area code as the aforementioned.
