Before we count Dallas out and Memphis in

Dallas spanked Memphis on Memphis' home court tonight. Dallas is very interested in holding onto what they currently have.

I wonder how long Conley will be out. Unfortunately, as long as Dallas, Memphis and Phoenix keep battling for the last two playoff spots, there will be no door opened for the Wolves.

The KOM says the Wolves should win these last 4 games going into the All-Star Break. Do you think the inspired effort from our depleted roster last night will provide a spark to go 4-0?

I am not overly opTIMistic...

When I made this original post, I forgot that Conley was out. These last 2 losses shows everyone how important Conley is. The Grizz were beating EVERYONE........now, without Conley, they look very mortal. Conley has a sprain and is "going to be reevaluated next week". I'm not sure exactly what that means, but he will be out through all-star weekend, i'm sure.

I don't think that we will hit 4-0 in the next few games. I would say that that we will end up 3-1.

Last night's game was great. Our bench came in and lost to OKC exactly like our starters would have. If that doesn't light a fire under our starters, I don't know what will. I don't know who chose to sit Love and Brewer, but it turns out that it was a good choice. The starters should be embarrassed, it is very hard to tell why we need the starters, if the bench can lose to good teams just like the starters can.

Right now I see the Wolves ending with 47 wins. Hopefully they can shock us......in a good way i mean.

This seems like a really odd commentary when you take into account that our starters have outplayed OKC's in each game this season. It was our bench that cost us two out of the three games.

Brewer didn't play because he just had a baby and wanted to spend some time with them, and I am sure it was Love's decision to sit out due to his nasty fall the night before. Everyone knows Adelman would have played him 40 minutes if he was available.

I think we need the starters so we can actually still win half of our games. We wouldn't win any without them! I am not sure what OKC playing down to their competition last night has to do with our starters and their need to fell embarrassed.

Many, many games this year we have kept the game close till the end of the third quarter and then got outplayed in the forth quarter and lost those games. That what I was referring too.

You guys are aware of that, right?

Many, many of those games the starters carried their weight and then some while the bench scored 10 or less points. Better bench play in those games and they're wins. Not that hard to understand.

I remember seeing a stat earlier in the season where we were something like 0-10 in games decided by 4 points or less and Indiana was 0-2 (of course since then we've played, and lost, a few other close games). To Cam's point, if we had a stronger bench, we probably wouldn't have even been in a position to lose so many close games to begin with!

Cam, it looks like you are starting to understand......If the bench would have played better in the past, we probably would have won more. If the starters would have played (or played better) last night, then we probably would have won. (very similar to the Atlanta game last last week)

It looks like we can agree on that.

Q....are you seriously mentioning us and Indiana in the same sentence? That is a compliment that the Wolves probably don't deserve.

Yes and I don't see why you interpreted my comment as a compliment to the Wolves. The point was that Indiana has been in far fewer close games, yet the two they were in, they lost. To Cam's earlier point, if our bench was stronger, perhaps we wouldn't have been in so many close games to begin with and we would be 1-6 or 1-7 in close games instead of 1-13. That would make a huge difference in the W-L column.
