Ahh, so this is what it feels like to be painted into a corner once again.

This trade amounts to throwing crap at the wall and seeing if anything sticks. How does this make them better next year which at this point is pretty much all that matters in the Love era? Prince as an expiring may get you something this time next year, but by then I suspect they'll already be working on the Love trade so it won't matter. Allen is a nice piece next to a scoring 1 and 3, next to Rubio and Prince/Brewer not so much.

The only trades Flip should be looking for are ones that open up cap room for a run at a real professional basketball player this offseason. This is depressing, once again situated with one superstar and a couple nice pieces we're again trying to use band aides to put together a winner. If I were KG I would be calling Love and advising him to look for greener pastures.

I would think about it with Brewer in place of JJ, but we don't need to add more bad deals to the current situation.

The more i think about it, the more i dont like this deal. Does flip know what he's doing? We should either get an real upgrade and add a core player or clear cap space to be flexible enough to build 1 last time around love-rubio-pek core.

This deal does not move the needle 1 bit for us. Yes, we would be better defensively on the perimeter but we would be a lot worse in terms of shooting, floor spacing and cap wise.

I would like to see a Bud/Shved, for Allen and Leuer deal. That makes more sense. We bring Allen off the bench and have a guy that has a chance of actually playing the backup PF spot.

Would you do a Prince for Bud deal straight up?

The only real question left is once we've cleared as much cap space by moving Love, Pek and any of the rest of the trash with contracts longer than one year does anybody think we'll luck into a nice draft pick for the summer of 2015? And if we do will it be another 2nd pick and a 1 pick draft?

This team has clearly stolen the thrown from the Clippers of decades past.

Bad part is now we have to listen to Flip and Rick tell us that it will take time to work whoever into the lineup and get the chemistry working.

The article says Memphis wants to include Prince, and could expand to include Allen. That makes it sound like the main guy coming back isn't one of those two. I doubt they would give us Lee.
