I though I was being conservative and it looks like I overbid for January. If our pattern of performance keeps up, basically never beating teams that our better than us and having the occasional flop and we make no moves I think our best possible record is 42-40. All in all a winning record. But not enough to get us in the playoffs likely. This would include a 6 game winning streak in March which is the easy stretch of the schedule for us.

aka if we wont be able to pull off some real winning streak which would include wins against good teams we are screwed .. aka we are screwed

I believe we are the most under rated team in the NBA. If we can some how re gather our swagger and team unity....very few teams have as much inside outside ability then we do. The questions solely lay upon Adelman and team unity. Both suck right now. We have the depth, and health finally....if we can't get tred in the next 4 games, Flip needs to make a move

Underrated? Pretty much everybody on this board and outside picked the Wolves to make the playoffs no question. Right now there are plenty of questions. I think it would be fair to say the team is not performing up to its talent level, but its completely wrong to say they've been underrated.

SP...are we over rated? Do teams see us and say cake walk? Or perhaps sit and rest starters? No...this team is dangerous...and when clicking...can be destructive. But...we are playing down to our competition and playing poor execution basketball. Under rated may have been a bad term....but over all...Minnesota is one team Zero teams want to face. We just need to figure out the rotation, and get a killer instinct

It's just a bizarre season, unlike anything seen before. I don't think a team has ever had an average margin of victory as big as ours with such a poor record to show for it. Call it bad luck, choking under pressure, poor coaching decisions, biased refereeing......whatever it is, it's extremely unique. If we win just half of the close games we've been in, we're right where most of us thought we'd be right now.

I think we're actually agreeing here but you're misusing underrated and overrated. If the Wolves were overrated (i.e. teams think you're better than you are) then nobody would see you as a cake walk. On the other hand if you're underrated (i.e. teams think you're not as good as you are) then it's possible teams may overlook you as being more difficult to beat than you are.

I'm a little embarrassed to bump this thread, because it represents perhaps the worst prediction I have ever made, but it's interesting to evaluate where we are as the month comes to a close. I was really down on the club a week ago, but their recent spirited play has me opTIMistic again. Once again we failed last night in our quest to go over .500, but I think brighter days are ahead. It's critical that we beat the Bulls on Monday, and if we do, we will finally get back over .500 at home against the Pelicans.

After that, a win at home over Memphis would put us at 24-22, and give the January prediction crown to abe, tpoff and Lloyd. Rage, Lipoli and WoldWolf are still in the running at 23-23 if the Wolves drop one of the next three.

Although their month-end record will be worse than most of us predicted, I think the optimism level will be high again if we finish the month with 6 wins out of 7 games. February gets tougher though, but the team seems to be ready for tougher completion. Playoff hopes are still alive!

Yeah, not the best prediction I've ever made, but this team is one of the most bipolar teams I've ever watched. I'll take 24-22 and run with it. Half the season is over with. How do we feel about the team? One of the best starting fives in basketball with a bench that leaves them hanging. That's my summary for the first 40 games or so.

Congrats to Rage, Lip, and WildWolf for nailing the end of Fed record at 23-23. A bunch of losses in the past month were heartbreakers and these 3 knew to call them right.

Good job guys.
