Beno Udrih

Post by Lipoli390 »

How about AJ Price and a 2nd round pick for Udrih? Beno wants out of New York and he'll be a free agent after this season. I think Beno would be a great fit for us. He can run an offense and, unlike Miller, he can shoot the three ball and isn't geriatric yet. I'd see him replacing JJ as our second unit's PG. Then I'd see us dealing Berea. Don't know whether Price and a second round pick would be enough, but there might be some other package that works.

I'd pass. I don't see how we'd be better with Udrih, to be honest. I'd rather have Shved be the backup PG than acquire Udrih. A better option would be trading for Andre Miller. Speaking of which, I'm pretty sure Nate Robinson got injured tonight so they might be in the market for a sparkplug PG like Barea. Or they might decide to hold on to Miller, but I highly doubt that.

- Andre Miller
- Jameer Nelson
- Steve Blake

I'd like to acquire any one of those three.

The only way I would want Jameer is if we decline his team option next year. I'd assume they would since it's $8 million. That $8.6 million salary for this year is rough though. Trade them JJ and Shved? They might like Shved, but I doubt they want JJ. Maybe a 3 team deal could be worked out.

I don't think JJ is very movable. He just isn't enough of an asset to justify the money he's scheduled to make this year and next. And there are many other options available out there.

I really don't see us making any moves. We have decent depth everywhere, except maybe PF. Losing Love would kill us any way, but as little as Dante gives us, I am not sure how we replace his minutes should he go down...

Mbah a Moute would take over his minutes.

Beno Udrih is a poor man's Luke Ridnour. Personally I'd prefer to keep Price.

I'm sure if they wanted Udrih, Flip would offer him more in FA than anyone else, and we would keep our 2nd. But then again this is the Wolves front office, and common sense isn't one of their strong points...
