I hope to god he comes to Minny. The less I need to see of Air Barea, the better.

eh miller isn't going to move the needle either way
Re: Andre Miller - per Doogie
I think Miller's value on this team would be teaching Rubio.

Wait, what? Miller's a massive improvement over Barea. I've been screaming all year that we need a different PG leading this unit and was more than ready to let Shved take over. That's how awful JJ's point guard skills have been. Only looks for his shot and if/when he dribbles into trouble he always looks for DC open or not. It's ugly to watch. Miller's much better at running an offense and I expect him to be a huge upgrade if we get him.
I wonder what we'd have to give up and if we could still swing a Neal trade. Miller/Neal/Bud/MaM/Turiaf looks nice to me on both sides of the floor.

Miller would be great, but the Kings have a lot more assets than the Wolves. Might be tough to get. Nuggets have Robinson too, so Barea doesn't add much value to them. Maybe a 3-team deal?

Re: Andre Miller - per Doogie
As Camden noted, Andre Miller would be a great get for the Wolves. I was excited when this rumor first surfaced a couple weeks ago.
For all the things Rubio gets credit for offensively... you'll see some of the same things from Miller. He knows how to get guys the ball where they want it. Plus, he has a decent midrange game and even post-up game.
He's old. And he has an old man's game. But he's not dead. He'd most definitely help the Wolves.
[Note: But as shadidi noted, don't the Kings have many more assets?]

The Wolves will get Miller. The Kings have more assets to get him, but they're too smart to give up much. Miller is Flip's kind of guy -- he's old (turning 38 in March) with an old man's game, slow and unathletic. Did I mention that Miller is a 21% three-point shooter? On a young team with a lot of fast, high flying athletes, miller might have value as a solid, steadying presence. But on the already slow, plodding, poor-shooting Wolves 2nd unit, he won't add much -- particularly when you consider he'll likely be replacing a 35% career three-point shooter who happens to be this team's
only player who can score on dribble penetration. Barea frustrates me too, but consider who he's been playing with as part of our team's pathetic D-League caliber second unit. And that's an insult to the D-league.

Who does Barea make better on that second unit? Nobody. I'd be more than willing to bet our bench offense runs way smoother with Miller. Miller understands team basketball. Barea plays hero ball and it sucks the life outta me to watch; I can only imagine how awful it is playing with him. Also, dribble penetration from Barea means very little to me considering how it's offset by how many times he dribbles right into trouble. I'll take Andre Miller's post game and mid-range shot plus facilitating over Barea's dribble penetration and streakiness.

Also, Lip, Kings are too smart to give up too much for him? What is it you think Minnesota's gonna have to give up?
