The "easy" stretch of games is now behind us

Post by Q12543 [enjin:6621299] »

Well, that kinda sucked. Tonight marked the last game of a 13-game stretch that was the easiest part of our schedule this year, with only a couple of back-to-backs, lots of days off between games, and plenty of home games, opponents with key injuries, opponents with poor records, etc., etc., etc.

Most of us guessed that we would win about 10 of those games. Instead, we went 7-6. Not good at all. Those home losses to Dallas, OKC, Phoenix, and Sacramento were absolute killers.

If we don't make the playoffs - and at this point it's looking like an uphill climb - I think we can look at this past stretch of games and point to it as the definitive turning point. We had a tough early season schedule with lots of back to backs, so I could accept the mediocre start. But it's tough to swallow going 7-6 in this stretch with soooo many things in our favor.

Yeah the hole has been dug. Now they are going to have to win some games they aren't supposed to.

March is fairly easy part of the schedule too. The home losses just have to stop. Lip has to step it up and get in the away teams' heads.

And have the Wolves won a game they weren't supposed to win yet this season?

Shirley, that will change. But it has to happen quite a bit for this team to get to the 45+ wins needed just to sneak into the playoffs.
