Rubio has had enough chances I am done with him

I am of the belief that Rubio is holding the entire team back.

You can't have a PG this day and age that is an offensive liabilty.

Even guys like Rondo (who can't shoot jumpers) are elite finishers at the rim.

Rubio does absolutely nothing well on offense. He can't shoot, he can drive but he can't finish. I guess he is a decent FT shooter.

Ask yourselves this question, is he the worst starting PG in the West right now? I can't think of a worse one right now.

I know nobody wants to admit it but he's a complete bust. I really hope Flip moves on from him after the year is over.

That is a very clear opinion I must say. Hard to argue with too. Off the top of my head with the way Rubio is playing I take Rubio over Houston, Lakers and Sac PGs (only that gap is closing) and that is about it. Tough to think about it on those terms. I do think he can improve still but you paint a grim picture.

I would trade Rubio for Isaiah Thomas in a second. I think every single NBA GM would too. Thomas has been nothing short of fantastic this season. He isn't a chucker either. He is efficient in every sense of the word.

I would take Beverly (when healthy)/Lin over what we have. I could see the argument that Rubio has a higher upside than both.

The Lakers are so bad I forgot about them. Probably the only team in the West he would start on.

I don't disagree that Ricky needs to improve for the Wolves to get to the next level, but saying that "Rubio does absolutely nothing well on offense" is an overstatement that weakens the entire argument. The main job of a point guard is to make an offense tick, and nobody can find fault with the Wolves' production when Ricky is on the court. His 12.4 assists per 48 minutes trails only Chris Paul at 15.5, not bad company for a 23 year old point guard, and better than every other Western point guard that you prefer.

Do I want Ricky to become a better shooter...of course. But saying that the second best facilitator in the NBA does nothing well on offense is a very odd statement.

To be fair, his shooting is a problem. It has attributed to the Wolves failure to win close games. 4 points in the 4th quarter and OT of 10 close losses is a problem.

Is Rubio the biggest problem on the team? No. He does some things well to great. But, it's disingenuous to completely ignore the correlation between his inability to score at the ends of games and the Wolves record in those games.

I agree. I think JJ Barea is as much of the problem as Ricky. We are so much worse when he is on the court.
