Game Report - Wolves v Kings

Post by Lipoli390 »

Misty's post captures the essence of tonight's crown and game. So why did The Wolves lose to a bad Kings team tonight in spite of the Kings' repeated efforts to hand us a win? How about this. The Kings shot 55% from the field while the Wolves shot 44%. That's really all you need to know. And it's a familiar storyline for the a wolves this season. The Wolves don't defend, can't score on dribble penetration and miss too many point blank shots. Brewer has a great heart, but should never have been expected to shoot well or be a starting wing given his poor shooting and horrific ball handling. Even worse is that he's not a great defender, which was evident tonight. He loses his man a lot and fails to often to help as a team defender.

Ricky looked demoralized tonight, but so did the rest of the team. And I'm equally demoralized right now.

Would you blow it up at this point lip?

Should the Wolves start taking calls for Love?

Good question Pat. I'm on the fence, but at this point I'm not ready to blow it up. Players like Love don't come along very often and I think we need to exhaust every effort to build around him up until next season's trade deadline. At this point, I'd probably like to see us end up with a top 13 lottery pick after this season and try to parley that and other assets into the kind of starting caliber wing player we need who can create his own shot off the dribble. Shved's play lately gives me some hope that he might help this team or at least give him some trade value. Shabazz might have some decent trade value next summer and JJ might also since he'll only have one year left on his deal at only $4.3 .

big problem we have is that Love has the highest trade value for buyer right now, as buyer gets 2 playoff runs guaranteed and extended chance to resign him, if we wait we will not get good value back, so if we want to blow this up, now it is a time to do so
