4) Forget this year, could the future look any bleaker? How does this team get better in the next few years? You almost need to tear it down again and re-build.
You guys seem to be missing that we are doing MUCH better than we have in most of the past 9 years. I guess that people can choose to be miserable, or you can choose to appreciate that the team is improving over previous years.

So you're happy that we've reached what appears to be our ceiling? If you truly are content with that, I can only wish I had your disposition.
It's like Sir Edmund Hillary getting halfway up Mt. Everest, and since he made it farther than the previous year he packs up and goes home satisfied. I hardly think that was the goal he set for himself.
I think the reason we cannot be satisfied right now with our improvement is because we are in no man's land. We are ok and almost spending to the cap. Improvement is great but where do we go from here? If we aren't going to gain the experience of a playoff run, there is no point in shooting for 9th or 10th in the west. Especially with Love's contract situation creeping up. We need more improvement then what we are seeing now. I think we have underachieved and hope this isn't our ceiling, but this is the worst spot we can be in with our franchise. We needed a bigger leap forward for a number of reasons.
