My basic line of thinking as well. Now you have to convince Flip and Rick. Good luck with that.

I'm not 100% sold that Alexey can handle backup PG duties yet, but he does create more for teammates than JJ does.

What would we need to include to trade Barea for Dunleavy?

I have less of an issue with Lexey taking the back up point guard duties than I do with Shabazz taking the back up 2 guard duties. Looking good in the free wheeling, defense-free, everyone for themselves D-League doesn't mean any of it will translate into the NBA. I would love to be proved wrong though.

I think his offensive rebounding and ability to get out and run on the break will be easily translated. He's never going to be James Harden and go one on one, but I still think he could post up smaller SGs that try to guard him in iso. Shabazz is a SF in a SG's body with a decent outside jumper. Several more productive games in the D-League and I think he needs to be given a shot.
