Why lament the 8th seed when shooting for the 6th seed by the end of January is on the table?!?

;)

Hehehe! I've been saying this just because of our easy-ish schedule this month. The other factors only help us. Can Dirk get the flu? Steph Curry tweak an ankle? Let's make this playoff push. Lol

*Would never actually root for a player to get injured, but when it happens to someone else, I don't feel bad.*

The Warriors have already gotten through a fairly lengthy injury to their starting SF, Iggy. We're not going to catch them unless Curry goes down for an extended period. Even then I'm not so sure. At the same time, none of the Wolves starters has been out for any significant period of time. That's extremely fortunate and we can't count on that the rest of the season.

Bottom line -- The Wolves ceiling is the 7th seed with a better chance at the 8th seed. Unfortunately, even getting to #8 will be a challenge. I still view the Wolves as better than both the Mavs and Suns. But the Wolves starters, especially Love, Ricky and Pek will have to stay healthy and we'll need something more than we've been getting from our bench.

add: Lip's bottom line:
This team cannot afford even to glance at what anyone else is doing -- just win games and forget all the bullshit about bad refs, injuries, schedule problems, etc. Don't drink the purple Kool=Aid that Bud is going to be the second coming of MJ; have Pek & Love kick the shit out of guys coming free down the lane a couple of times instead of playing torero (you do get 6 fouls); tell Ricky to man up; tell JJ there are other guys on the second unit besides himself; tell Schved if he plays man on the flying trapeze once more he's gone along with Shabazz; tell Brewer. . . well, what the hell can you tell Brewer?Just close your eyes and hope!

Denver is back from its 8-game losing streak. Just passed the Wolves in the standings. Pelicans 1/2 game back. Memphis without the reigning DPOY is 1 game back.

I think the Phoenix descent has commenced...lost tonight to a Deng-less, Rose-less Bulls team. Their only win since Bledsoe went down was against the hapless Bucks. It was inevitable that they would wake up one day and say "Hey, we're really not that good",

Wolves coast tonight.

Two back in the loss column of Dallas. Think we're gonna catch them within the next week.
