David Thorpe tweeted about this the other night while the Pelicans were in town. http://www.twitter.com/coachthorpe/status/418552280305377280 Threeway involving NOP MIN and HOU Houston gets a stretch 4, New Orleans gets an offensive threat inside to pair with Davis (similar to how Pek and Love play off each other), and Minnesota gets a rim protector to cover Kevin Love's among other's asses. No traction to his thoughts, but I do think it's an interesting trade.

We are giving up the best player in this 3 team trade and pek would be a perfect fit to the pelicans next to davis. That might not be a wise move for us considering the pelicans is a team that is a threat to our playoff chances now and especially in the future.

Im not in favor of swapping pek for asik unless we got another good player in return. Ideally, an athletic sf who is a two way player. We can move brewer to the bench or include him in the package. Also, if were moving pek, move him to an eastern conference team.

I will be quite surprised if Houston is able to move Asik. His contract is an albatross. It was one of those poison pill contracts that Morey gave out in a fit of insanity two years ago. He also gave one to Jeremy Lin. Neither player comes close to being worth the amount of money they will be paid next year. And then they are free to walk.

I agree with those that that point out that Pek is the best player in this trade. Trading a good player for a "pretty good" defensive player. Asik has had 1 pretty good year. I mean, he boards very well, is there anything else that he does really well?

Trading a good player for a pretty good defensive player, just doesn't make much sense to me.

Have the Rockets throw in Parsons would work for me. Or even Terrance Jones? I do like how he would compliment Love better than Pek.

No way that happens.
