but if true i like how barea fired back lol. the little guy has balls.
"I think it's the first time that Kevin (Love) had a, as he said a bad game for him, but we won so I think that's good for us." - Guard J.J. Barea on the complete team effort from the Wolves during Wednesday's win.

sorry i owe you an apology. barea is the man though he wont take shit from no-one. i thought it was kinda fcked up love would call out his own teammates when the guy has been fat and over-weight almost every-year since he's been in minny & let the team down by some covered up fake bs like doing nuckle push=ups.
Timberwolves backup point guard J.J. Barea took exception to star Kevin Love calling out the bench after Monday's loss to Dallas.
"I don't like it," Barea said. "I don't want to comment a lot on that. I definitely don't like it."
Like it or not, the Wolves bench heard the call and responded with 42 points in Wednesday night's win against the Pelicans. On Monday, they had only five points in a loss to the Mavericks.
"I think the bench heard it and we played good (Wednesday), so it's something that we need to keep doing the rest of the season," said Barea, who led the reserves with 17 points, including 3 three-pointers and five assists. Dante Cunningham and Alexey Shved each had 10.
"Nobody is ever going to like that, but it wasn't me being down on them," Love said. "It was me asking for more because we are going to need them in 2014. ... They are gonna have to really help us if we are going to win. It's more than anything a challenge. I wasn't mad at them. I wasn't pissed at them. I wasn't saying they were bad or anything like that. It was tough love and sometimes that is the best way to do things."
now the clown backtracks from what he said. just be honest man you were mad. i cant stand pple who say shit then back-track so they wont look bad.

I don't know if you guys saw this on the wire:
January 1, 2014 Minneapolis, MN
Despite the Timberwolves impressive win over an improving New Orleans squad, their much maligned bench sounded bitter after the game. Speaking to Wolves savant Jerry Zgoda, the Bench said "It's good that we won tonight, but we did it despite Kevin Love. 1-7 on threes and getting out rebounded by your point guard...come on! We have the potential to be a solid contender, but we need more than we got tonight from Love. The Bench can't be expected to carry him like we did tonight. We're out there busting our asses, and he's bricking threes and lollygagging around like it's a YMCA pick up game. He had better bring a little more game Saturday against the Thunder."
Love was rehearsing a new commercial with Kyrie Irving, and was unavailable for comment.

It seems quincy is not a love fan.
I dont read too much into this and i dont think we should. I like players who are competitive and have pride. JJ is one of those guys. The guy has credibility too( championship ring and being a key contributor to the team). This could be a good thing as teammates will try their best to not let each other down. It keeps them focus. It worked tonight.

i can buy that. it also shows jj barea is now the leader of that 2nd unit by. being the only one to speak-up for his squad. if anything it means HIS 2ND UNIT DIDNT LET HIM DOWN AFTER HE CALLED OUT LOVE.

Would like to know who "The Bench" is. It sounded like whoever said it was just picking on him after he got on them. Didn't sound vicious or anything to me, though. Hold yourselves accountable. Whether you're the superstar or the 10th man in the rotation, everyone needs to do their jobs.
On another note, I'm excited to see the new commercial. The first one was awesome.

I love that little article. It is just too funny. It is just what Love deserves. If you are going to call out other people for bad nights.......you gotta do the same for yourself.

Yes Long... I think I also read that in an online publication that comes out of Madison.

When I was watching the postgame interview and JJ said he didn't like being called out, to me it seemed a bit like he was saying he didn't like performing in a way that made someone call him out. Obviously he wasn't excited about it, but I don't think he was saying he strongly disapproved of or disagreed with what Love said.

I think you are right, ace. JJ frustrates me sometimes, but he is too smart to call out a teammate to the press, and understands how damaging that can be to a team's chemistry. He's certainly not above calling out a teammate, but he does it in the right way...face to face. His comments were directed at himself, not Love.
