Good news: Denver's losing to the Heat. Blazers lost to the Pelicans. Makes our NO game even bigger now. PHO/LAC is fine either way, honestly. And Memphis lost.

Still, would have been huge had we won. Kind of a must-win against the Pels though.

Yeah, it's games like this where Love has to just shake his head and knows that deep down inside, this team doesn't have the firepower to compete with the big boys. I still think we can win our fair share of games this year and just may be squeak into the playoffs, but it's tough seeing where the upside is with this roster.

Yup, separation is starting to happen between the Top 8 Western Conf. teams and the next group down. Unfortunately, we're in that group. The close losses are just killing us. It's amazing to think that our average margin of victory is 4 PPG, more than twice that of Dallas, yet they have a much better record than us.

Did you hear this stat tonight?

Only one team has had as good of a PPG margin as the Wolves do now... and finished below .500 in NBA history. And that happened 55+ years ago when they're were only 8 teams.

The Wolves are a great frontrunning team. But their futility in close games is becoming legendary at this point. Just by luck or dumb chance or the ways of the universe, that will eventually change.

Right?
