I'm in the camp of thinking we need 8 out of the next 10. Definitely win the next 4 but then extend that a little and climb into the 7 or 8 spot
Re: I am still on the bandwagon
I am actually more opTIMistic now than I was before the last [s]10[/s] 9 games began. At the time, I openly pondered the thought we could lose all 10 games. But instead, we received a gift postponement, won 4 games, and played pretty well at the Clippers and at the Spurs, but couldn't figure out how to close out those games. The Wolves are now in position to win some games. They could very well be above .500 to start the new year. Bud and Turiaf should be back very soon. I am feeling pretty good about our prospects.
I don't know how many of you check Jeff Sagarin's rating system. It is based on strength of schedule. It currently has the Wolves as the 8th seed in the West. And I figure the Wolves will get even stronger over the next few months.

Hey, welcome back Tim. We need your optimism after the last 2 games when many posters wanted to trade Love and blow up this team. Some improved bench play and better 4th quarter D should get us back on track for my hope of a 7th seed (8th seeds always lose) and at least 1 playoff win. If were not within a couple games of that by the All Star break, then I'll join the others and blow it up.

I'm not on the bandwagon. Flip capped this team out and it still lacks shooters.
We overpaid for Brewer and Budinger. (I admint Brewer looked great to begin the season, but we still bid against ourselves for these guys (including Pek - but he is earning his money)

I thought maybe Bud would join Friday but it looks like more "evaluation" for a couple more weeks, according to Adelman. Free Muhammad! Seriously, why not give him 15-18 minutes the next 7 games. I don't want to see another 1st round pick go to waste.

Someone please tell me how the hell Pek is overpaid. I'm not seeing it. Are we watching the same Pekovic?

He is earning his money, but nobody was bidding against us for him. Everyone had spent there cap space. So we were bidding against ourselves.

Starting Friday there are 4 wins staring them straight in the face:
Wash
@Mil
Dall
N.O.
They gotta start winning now.
Should all be wins. The team should see this stretch on the schedule and take full advantage of it.
The past three should have been wins too and we see how that worked out.

We were bidding for his services after this year. Just because there wasn't another team trying to give him an offer sheet doesn't mean we could throw some lowball contract at him. Pek could have easily rolled the dice and accepted the qualifying offer, played this year out and became an unrestricted FA next year to get an even bigger deal from someone else.
Also, $12M per year for an All-Star caliber center is fair, which was my intial point and one you just agreed with when you said he's earning his money. So how is Pek overpaid? He's not.
