Celtics can go f#$% themselves
Dumb, callous, homer announcers yelling like animals when cunningham went down. I have had enough of these clowns.

I mean even if they disagreed with the call that was way overboard. Just more strange than anything.

I didn't catch the game. I saw everyone railing on Heinsohn in the other thread. I'm assuming Mike Gorman was doing the game with him. Those two guys have been doing Celtic games together since Bird's heyday in the 80s. While I don't mind long-time play-by-play guys (there is a certain comfort one derives by the consistency of hearing a familiar voice associated with your favorite team. This is especially true in baseball, but it probably also applies to Gorman for Celtic fans). Unlike beloved play-by-play announcers, it's healthy to have some turnover in color commentators. Heck, even John Madden knew when to call it quits. Tommy Heinsohn is now a caricature of himself. He was a biased blowhard back in the 80s, but it sort of fit with the team and the image Red Auerbach cultivated for the franchise. But his act long ago grew tiresome and now it's just embarrassing.
Jim Petersen on the other hand is a pleasure to listen to. For those of us who have League Pass and have heard a bunch of the different home team commentators over the years, we know how lucky we are. Petersen is not only a true professional that balances his rooting interest for the Wolves with a healthy dose of objectivity; he's also a student of the game that prepares well and helps fans become better informed.
Anywho, that's my 2-cents on the matter (and then some!).

Q... I applauded Peterson in another thread earlier, too. I think he's really improved. As for homer announcers, they're insulting their audience.

Good to know. I just couldn't believe that guy just going bananas over his guy not getting a foul as cunningham was screaming and writhing in pain. I understand the celtics were frustrated by the Wolves getting so many calls, some of which I actually felt like we didn't deserve.
