Another guy we should pursue/keep an eye on
Another guy we should pursue/keep an eye on
If the Nuggets continue to struggle, we should make an effort to trade for Wilson Chandler. Would a Dwill and a first in 2016 do it, or am I giving up to much. I think he would be the perfect fit to be our sixth or seventh man. Good scorer, Good defender, the one down side is he has and nagging injuries over the last two years but he is only 26 and I think he could help us become a contender (if we are not already)

We should go get pau Gasol. DWill, Alexi, Shabazz, pix. DC if we have too...maybe Barea. Or we wait til next year and bring him as a free agent.

How about no... Why in the hell would we do that? Love/Pek are the starters. Gasol's not better than either of them. If I'm Sota, I'm not paying Gasol to come off the bench. And if I'm Pau, why the hell would I go to Sota knowing I'd come off the bench? 20 minutes max a game. Doesn't make any sense. I just figure you're a huge Pau fan and want to pair him up with Ricky, which is a nice thought, but let's save it for the olympics.

Mentioned Chandler in a couple of different threads. I really like him. Good two-way player. Concerned about his injuries, though. Also, don't know if Denver would trade him.

Nice idea, but that's too much. Derrick straight up for Chandler would sit well with me. But I'd be concerned about Chandler's injury propensity.

i dont get why is that too much, i think that Derrick has almost no value, i mean .. he does not have position, cant play, he is not getting any tactics, cant rotate in defense and doing crazy amount of silly stuffs, for me he is almost in category of wes johnson who we had to add 1st round pick on top of him to get rid of him

Or like Beasley, without the off-court silliness...

Williams for Chandler would be a GREAT deal for the Wolves! I'd take the deal if we had to throw in a future first. Chandler would make our bench a lot better. Rebounds. Shoots. Defends. Toughness. Got a good number of blocks with NY a couple years ago when he was playing down low, if I recall, which we could use. So he can play the 3 and the 4. Mature. Just fits with the team culture we're building too. He'd also raise our tattoo factor, which Pek can't do alone.
We need to face it with Derrick, he just doesn't have much trade value. His stats last year were halfway decent if you squint, but everybody knows he's been a huge disappointment and doesn't really fit on our team so they can squeeze us. He just hasn't worked out. I was wrong about him. I'm not the only one, but it's long since time to throw in the towel.

Another trade could be DW for Courtney Lee (maybe with some 2nd round picks on one of sides), he does not have terrible contract (in fact his contract matches with DWs quite well) and he would be quality SG backup as he is borderline starter quality player and he also holds his own on defense, he is 28yo so Celtics cannot count on him after rebuild and they need to do something to tank harder as you dont want to end up 9th in east with no.10/no.11 draft pick right? :-D
