Without Williams and/or Shved stepping up in a more significant way this season, it's hard to see this team competing with the upper echelon of the Western Conference. Turiaf and Bud will certainly help, but neither of those two guys are difference makers....They just help us "hold serve". It's really unfortunate because clearly Adelman is searching for someone to come off the bench and be an X-factor. JJ can do that sometimes, but he's as much a saboteur of rallies as he is an instigator.

I know the general theory on Pek is that he's still trying to get into game shape, which most likely is the case. But, sometimes I wonder if he's playing a little softer or less physical. With the new contract and the clauses that surely include games played, I feel he may have dialed down the toughness factor somewhat. Not to mention the media asking him questions regarding his past health issues during the press conference announcing his new contract so it might be something that's in his mind. Either way, glad to see him play better, but still not where we need him to be.

Very interesting, but disturbing point, Travis. I hope you re wrong, but Pek does seem to be playing softer to me too. Tonight will be a good indicator. In Clipper games that I have been to in the past two years, he has physically punished DeAndre Jordan...totally beat him up. Anything less tonight will lend some credence to your theory.

The negative as has been said is how many minutes the starters had to play in what was basically a blowout the entire game, especially considering they have to play a very very good clippers team.

Hopefully they have their legs tomorrow.

The Clippers have very, very good talent but they have yet to translate that into a very, very good team.
