Sorry Mael -- You are wrong! I hated the idea of Redick and posted that I didn't want to sign a guy about the same size as Ridnour as our starting SG. I had a slight preference for Mayo over Martin, but I posted favorable comments on the Martin acquisition. Did I express reservations about Martin's defense and injury history? Yes. But those are facts. By his own admission, he's not a very good defender and he has averaged less than 65 games per season during his career because of various injuries. Nevertheless I'm on record favoring the acquisition especially in lieu of signing Flip's first choice, Redick.
My main criticisms of Flip were the Shabazz pick in the draft, paying $10 million a year for two perennial bench players, Brewer and Chase, and not making sure we gave a true, proven starting caliber SF.
