This may seem counter intuitive, but I think the Bud injury favors Brown or Price. My reasoning is this: Shved could very well see more wing minutes than he would if Bud were healthy, thus reducing our depth at PG.
I hope Brown has a good camp!

I would love to see Brown make the team but not by default, but a solid camp.

Nice little bits on each player vying for that last spot:

Here's yesterday's practice report again. The Benz/Remme interview touches on the rookies -- Brown and Jeffers would seem to be ahead of the other two (Price and Hummel).
And there is a good interview with Jeffers a little further down the page. I am pulling for him!

Well, my money is no longer on Jeffers. Adelman did not reveal much in the way he utilized the four guys fighting for that last spot, with the exception that Hummel got the start in Philly, played 30 minutes, and received some nice post-game comments from Adelman.
I suppose Hummel and/or Price have a shot. CJ will be gone if we keep both. And they've got to be itching to trade D-Will for anything reasonable ASAP!

Re: My money is on Jeffers
I'd be OK with Jeffers or Price. I don't understand the Adelman love for Hummel. The guy isn't a good defender and has been atrocious offensively in the pre season. He is also an injury waiting to happen, which is exactly what we should be staying away from, but seem to embrace on this team.
I hope we trade DW before the season starts, because he will have zero value by the trade deadline if Adelman is still our coach.

Re: My money is on Jeffers
I really disagree with constant blaming of Adelman for DW's struggles.
Re: My money is on Jeffers
Feel free! but explain why he is praising Hummel, while taking shots at DW. This is a professional BB league, and the only thing that matters is results. Hummel isn't getting any. The guy is supposed to be a shooter, and can't even do that.
I am not saying DW is a good player, but my feeling is that all of the other options keep this team treading water, while DW actually has some upside. How about trying to embrace the player and see what he can do. Why is DW the only one that has to continually earn minutes. Brewer is jacking up 3 3pter's a game, and not a word about it.

Re: My money is on Jeffers
You are not considering each players COMPLETE impact on the team, on and off the court, in games, and in practice. By all accounts, Adelman is player's coach who lets players know where they stand, and what they need to do. Every player has their strengths and weakness. As fans, we sometimes overlook flaws, and sometimes over analylize flaws. And on the same token, we can overvalue strengths, and also undervalue strengths. I trust Adelman and his staff to evaluate players and combinations of players, and do what is best for the team.
While Hummel did not hit his shots the other night, Adelman says he fits in with the other players, on both the first team and second team. I believe this has something to do with BB IQ. D-Will, on the otherhand, looked down right clueless last night. I believe this also has something to do with BB IQ.
Just sayin'...

Re: My money is on Jeffers
Coaches tend to value process over results sometimes. Hummel seems like a process guy. He makes good decisions, but doesn't necessarily deliver good results. Williams on the other hand is not a process guy and he delivers mediocre results. Add to that the disparity in their salaries and you can see why Hummel might get the benefit of the doubt.
