People vastly overrate Dante's defense both at pf and sf. He is more of an energy team player than he is a good man defender. I love Dante but he is a flawed defensive player you don't actually want him guarding guys big minutes night in night out. The idea that he can be a defender at the SF position as a regular starter is silly.

Once again I'll remind people that getting a legit starting wing is very difficult because there are so few. Marion would be interesting but I wouldn't give up much to get him.

Ripping on Pek for not playing through an injury in a basically meaningless game is ridiculous. Pek has played through injuries here but I'd rather. Be cautious with a guy his size because centers tend to get hurt and yes Pek has a significant history there. Thats why finding a young cheap backup is really key in this league and Dieng could be that guy I know we all hope so.

I agree completely monster. I actually would take it a step further and really focus on keeping Pek healthy this year. I would be fine if they rested Pek on certain back to backs during the season. I think this may be what Flip was alluding to when he suggested that re-evaluating the medical approaches of this team. Back to back preseason games are just not worth toughing it out, especially for a guy Pek's size.
