I wish Hubie Brown wasn't so old

Post by BloopOracle »

The guy is a basketball genius and his min.d hasn't slowed down a second. It always amazes me how easily he breaks our team down without even covering the Wolves. Would love to have him as a coach

He really likes Rubio and Shved. Every game he has covered for the Wolves he compliments their potential. I guess he has seen a lot of players have ups and downs early in their careers. I think he is great too, but after Adelman I would like to see the team go after someone with a more fresh, young approach to coaching, similar to the Celts hiring Stevens.

It was really a pleasure to watch last night's game. Mostly because the Wolves played so well and beat one of the top NBA teams, but also because I could listen to Hubie Brown analyze a game any day. He does seem to have more favorable comments to say about guards and was effusive in his praise of Rubio, JJ and Shved. In all fairness, Rubio had a fabulous game and JJ was pretty good too...Alexey, not so much.

I agree. Hubie was great and a pleasure to listen to. One of the best in announcing.

I remember Hubie covered the Wolves-Clippers game a few years back where Rubio hit the 3 to tie and Love hit the buzzer beater to win it. He is great. I watch games that Hubie covers in the same way that I avoid MNF games because of Gruden.

Best: Hubie Brown
Worst: Jon Barry - Anyone else isn't even close.

I like Shved as the backup PG. To bad we didn't make a deal to trade JJ for a SG.

Dr. Jack Ramsay can kick Hubie Brown's ass.

I've always been a big fan of Dr. Jack... so I gotta bring him in up whenever a discussion about old guys comes up.
