A Couple Things

Post by Coolbreeze44 »

Kevin Love is the 3rd best player in the NBA.

This is the strangest team I have ever followed. Sometimes they win so incredibly easy. And sometimes they don't look anything like the same team.

Isn't the simple answer coaching? Imagine if we had Thibodeau.

What's crazy is that the guy is still adding new moves to his repertoire. He tried that left handed counter move again on the low block, but it didn't go down. Looked good though.

I'd say he's playing like the 3rd best player in the NBA right now, although I would necessarily vote him as such over the course of the entire year. He's on a great run right now. It just goes to show how much he's ultimately the straw that stirs the drink for this squad. Martin, Rubio, and Pek simply cannot impact the game in all the ways Kevin Love can.

I've been calling him the fourth best in the league, but I certainly won't argue against the notion he's higher than that.

Right now:
1. Bron
2. KD
3. CP3
4. Love
5. PG
6. Melo
7. Curry
8. Harden
9. Griffin
10. Parker

The simple answer is the team is filled mostly with jump shooters so they're unbeatable when their shot is on and lottery like when they aren't. Nothing coaches can do to keep their shooters hot for 82+ games.

Consistency is the benchmark of coaching. The consistency that Adelman has provided this year has been inconsistency. Tell Hornacek there is nothing coaches can do.

I think the way games are officiated has something to do with it. Not from a fairness standpoint, but when the refs are putting us on the line our efficiency goes way up. In games not as tightly officiated we have more trouble.

I won't disagree Adelman has been pretty poor from a coaching perspective, but again, this team scores by jump shot or getting to the line and if the jump shots aren't falling the trips to the line aren't enough to win. The team should have a better record and much of that falls upon Adelman. But the variation in this teams play from unbeatable to horrendous is out of his control to some degree based upon the makeup of the team.

That I agree with 100%. There is something supernatural that happens with Minnesota sports. Which is usually my go to explanation for what cannot logically be explained.

"Playing like the 3rd best player NOW"? He would become the first player in 40 years (Jabbar) to average 26/13/4. That would be a historic season.
