Turner ends up going for Granger. WTF??? The Rich just get richer. NIce pickup for Indy. Philly is a head scratcher to me, unless they have the inside track that Turner is useless.

They also dumped Lavoy Allen. So, they got cap room out of it, but I wonder why they didn't get any 2nd rounders at least.

Turner is just a chucker (terribly inefficient scorers) and Granger is playing like crap this year. It is hard to believe that Turner will be allocated enough shots in IN to impact games (either positively or negatively).

This shouldn't move the dial much on either team. Indy dropped some salary and Phili gets to do a bit of an eval on Granger to see if they think they should sign him in the upcoming year,

This seems like a "no story" to me.

While Turner is obviously a fairly inefficient player when being a primary scorer, I believe he has other standout skills that will play very well within a team like Indy. He is a fantastic ball handler and rebounder for his position, and will bring many nights where he can score and be a positive for Indy in that respect. I personally feel like he will have a fairly big role on this Indy team, and will be a large net positive. Remains to be seen I guess. But regardless, he will be a lot better than the current D-League player they call Danny Granger.

Turner may have been inefficient in Philly but this reaks of Bird stealing a player. If there's something there, Indy will get some solid play out of this kid.

It's hard to consider the Turner trade a steal when he is just a rental. They can't afford him and Stephenson this summer with two max deals already on the books. We'll see what they get this summer for him in a sign and trade.

The trade is a steal for indy because

1. turner is a better player than granger right now and would help their bench a lot. Gives them a focal point off the bench.

2. Indy isnt going to resign granger for anything near mid level money this off season. They have 2 max contract in george and hibbert+ west makes 12m and hill makes 8+m/yr and they have a couple of guys making 4m/yr. Of course, they will have to resign lance stephenson. So granger's indy days are numbered as well.

3. Turner maybe a rental but he gives them better value in a sign and trade this off season than granger would. I cant see any team offering a sign and trade deal for granger but turner could net them a contributor and could be packaged with a scola or mahinmi or copeland andd get them a player.

4. Indy are going for the tilte this year, turner is a better player, so short term wise as well as lo0ng term wise, this is an excellent move by indy.

MIL absolutely fleeced MJ. Serenity now Lloyd.

Explain your thought on this, I'm not sure what happened. How did Milwaukee get over?

1. Sessions and Adrien are having the best two seasons of the 4 players traded.
2. Sessions and Adrien are both expiring, where as Neal is not.
3. Neal has a history of complaining (does that history consist of once? Yes, but hasn't he only played on two teams?)
4. MIL didn't have to give up a pick for a guy they were clearly trying to dump.

The only thing I would have done differently if I was MIL was I would have steered those two expirings to SAC for some of their cap crap, SAC's 2nd and/or the right to swap 1st's. SAC is in trouble this summer.

1. Jeff Adrien's 2.3 pts and 3.3 rebs each game are better than Neal's double-figure scoring? That's laughable. Neal is the best player in the trade, and Ridnour is still an effective backup PG.

2. Charlotte likely doesn't care about the expirings because they are in the playoffs and want to improve, not tank. How big of a FA destination is Charlotte anyway?

3. He complained this year because he was recording DNP-CDs. The guy played a key part on a Finals team last year. He should be pissed.

4. Not everyone is David Kahn and has to give up picks to trade guys.

Damn that pacers line up and depth is scary good.

So is Turner gonna come off the bench or start? No way they sit Stephenson right, or would they move him to PG and send Hill to the bench? Either way the starting 5 is so good, and then you'd have Scola, Turner, Bynum if he can get his head out of his ass (not likely).

True, he has positive aspects to his game, And he is probably a better PG than he is a SG or SF. As long as he doesn't shoot much, and limits his role on the team to ball handling, rebounding, and steps up his D, then I can see him having a very positive impact in the minutes that he plays. It just seems that Turner is in the process of playing for a contract and it is hard to imagine him reducing the large # of bad shots that he takes. And if there is 1 thing that Indy will not allow much of, that is Turner taking a bunch of bad shots.

Philly doesn't have a very high opinion of Turner obviously, I'm sorta wondering why others do.

Granger has been crap this year, and I think the philly has good reason to think that Granger has a better chance of becoming a efficient, and still high scoring player...........and they seem to know enough about Turner (4 years pro) to have a clear idea of where he is going in this career.

This trade really helps Indy in the short term and has about 0 impact longer term.
