Turiaf Out for the Year

Post by Volans19 »

After his hip surgery he is expected to be out for the rest of the season. As a result he is likely to be cut opening up a roster spot.

So what's the play here for the Wolves, retain Adrien or go out and get a different big? I wish we knew more about the extent of Pek's injury...

Honestly I would consider a PG or big. It wouldn't hurt to have another ball handler on the team.

Sign Ray Allen. We never should have traded him.

Wow. How does this happen? Didn't he complete some vigorous training program over the summer along with Shabazz? So he got paid $1.5M/Year for 606 minutes last year plus 19 this year...that comes out to $288,000 an hour. Some days I feel like I'm underpaid :-(.

They need a big man over a point guard. Pek's not coming back anytime soon. I assume they keep Adrian unless an upgrade becomes available.

Turiaf should have been cut a month ago.

I guess Adrian will be signed for the remainder of the season.

I agree that we should probably just keep Adrien. I'd love to add someone that is more of a legit Center. Poor Gurgui is going to battle night in and night out without a legit backup and playing next to a 19-year old small forward and a veteran power forward who is the size of a small forward!

But who is out there that is a better overall player than Adrien (not that Adrien is great, but he certainly has been competent)? I don't know.

As for PG, help is already on the way. Mo might be able to give a few minutes tonight and it looks like Rubio might be ready to go within a week or two after Christmas.

How about a 22 year old, 7 foot 5 inches and 360 lbs to anchor that zone defense:
