I remember Steve Johnson being made to wait in Bob Steins office after finally reporting to the team. Stein rivaled Kahn in terms of buffoonery.

I became a fan during marbury's rookie year. The future looked really bright with him, kg and googs then.

Season ticket holder since Day I in TC (until I gave them up to go on my secret government mission to California), but went to 15-20 games at the Dome...still remember seeing Jordan that first year.

My first close encounter with the Wolves was a painful one. They didn't have any facilities yet, so they were using Harv and Marv's Northwest Club on 98th street for their workouts. I was coming back into town from a hunting trip, and had to shower the stink off before going to a Sunday night party, so I stopped there. I had the shower to myself until the entire Wolves team came in post-practice. I want to keep this PG-rated, so I will only say that I have never felt so inadequate in my entire life. Even Brad Lohaus made me look like a little boy.

I got my revenge a couple years later. The Wolves had now moved to Target Center but still had no gym of their own, so now they're using the downtown NW club...the same gym I used. One day I asked to work in on the leg press with 300-pound Felton Spencer, and I gave him a little wink as I added 30 pounds to the meagre amount he was lifting! The fact that I was out-lifting Felton says a lot about why he was such a flop.

Wow, a couple of great anecdotes there LST. You've definitely been around the block more than most of us, with the exception of Tim may be (?).

I started following the team from the beginning and saw some of their games when they played in the Dome. I remember the night when Musselman had Randy Breuer guard Magic Johnson. He did some odd things like that. Just think, that expansion team was better than a number of our teams over the past 10 years where we've had multiple lottery picks. That has a lot to do with coaching.

My interest fell off though and I didn't really start following them again until the good KG years. My parents have been season ticket holders since they moved to the Target Center and I generally get to one game a year when I go home and visit. This year I had the pleasure of watching them lose to the Bucks.....

During the Wolves first year I was just out of college, and as luck would have it a good friend of mine was hired to the position of assistant PR director with the team. It afforded me free tickets to several games right behind the bench. What I remember about that year is that Musselman was almost too good of a coach. They won a lot of games simply because he schemed and willed them to win. Management didn't necessarily want all those wins and it contributed to Muss's relatively short tenure.

I went to a game as a kid back when they played in the dome, but then basically didn't pay any attention to them until my 20s, starting in 2000, more or less when I moved away from Minnesota. Funny, when I lived there, I couldn't care less about them, but as soon as I left, they became my team.

I was going to mention this. How ironic/coincidental/fitting is this...

The team's first coach was fired for winning too much...
