I am shocked how bad the Cavs have been. The media surely is keeping the spot light on them. I wonder how long this goes before a change is made. Will they make a trade or get a new coach?

LST claiming Love isn't a top-10 power forward? Did I understand that correctly? Wow.

I think LST was saying with how is struggling early he is hard to be considered at top 10 PF. I think he is still in the top 10, but closer to 10 then 1 this year.

He is ranked 8th here:

Anthony Davis the best PF in the game this year, but everyone saw that coming. What is truly surprising is he is looking like the best player in the league period.

Thanks for reading my post correctly, bleed. As I said, based on performance in the first month of this season (not past results), it's difficult to objectively rank Love in the top 10 PFs. CBS has him ranked 8th and purports to include offense and defense in their rankings, but they only show offensive stats. And even with offensive stats only, it's difficult to see how his performance puts him as high as 8th. You have to drop all the way down to Khris Middleton at 42 before you find a PF with a worse shooting percentage than Love. If you look at overall play so far this year, I cant see how anybody could rank Love ahead of Nowitzki, Favors, Duncan, Ibaka and Monroe.

It is natural for a home team to overrate their players. We would blindly say Love is the best power forward in the league when he was putting up his crazy stats. I was right there too. Offensively Love did things no big has ever done, but he did it on a bad team. But if we are to look at it objectively, he played at an elite for 1 and a half seasons with a stinker in between and consistent lacklustre defence. Now Love is being underrated which is expected since people want someone to blame for the Cavs start. He is still definitely a top 5 PF.

I still think Love is great offensively and will help the Cavs. But at this point, Love and Kyrie are not at the point of maturity of Bosh and Wade when Lebron went to the Heat. Personally, I think the problem with the Cavs is 100% with Lebron. He is saying all the right things but his demeanor on the court is not striking me as a leader. Kyrie and Love need to be taught how to win at the NBA level. Both of them seem to check out when things are going bad. All Lebron seems to be doing about it is checking out along with them. All that and the Cavs bench seems god awful.

It is pretty hard to rank in the top 5 PF with how things have gone so far this season. He certainly is better then what he has shown, but tough to say he is playing better then 5 PF's in the league.

This is NOT a shot at Lebron but I think his leadership abilities have been overrated to a certain extent. His BBIQ is so high and his all-round skill makes players so good people assumed more about what he was doing as a leader than maybe what was reality. I do think Lebron leads but really what this comes back to and maybe more the point I am trying to make is coaching. I thought Spolstra was overrated at first but after winning championships and quite frankly getting to the finals with Lebron Bosh a old Wade and some duct tape last year I had even more respect for him. I figured with the talent on the Cavs Blatt should be able to figure it out. I may have been mistaken there. Coaching is over and underated but Blatt is the least proven thing of the Cavs even than their defense since they have at least Lebron and AV plus rebounding from Love and TT. If Adelman could get the Wolves to be sorta decent on D for 3 quarters the Cavs should be able to do it. I've only seen 12 mins of the Cavs play this year so I can't comment on what Blatt is having them do on either end maybe it will come together but I'm wonder if that's the weakest point.

You might be right about the impact Blatt is having on the Cavs, monster. Eitan is quite familiar with him, and thought he was over his head coaching in the NBA. I don't know, not quite sure how much impact a coach has on a team, but he's sure getting a lot of heat in Cleveland.

I still think it's defense though. The Cavs are going to score points this year, but defense ultimately wins championships, and right now they look like a bottom five defense.
