Andrew Wiggins Preseason Evaluation

Post by drk3351 [enjin:11715927] »

Hey T-Wolves fans, I made a video breakdown of one of Wiggins preseason games. I take a deep look into his strengths and weaknesses, let me know what you think of him from what you've seen so far, and thanks for watching.

Pretty good breakdown, enjoyed the watch. Made to many assumptions after one preseason game though

I thought it was a good video. The thing that stood out was how many times he went in the air when he could just be a little more patient.

Good video, but I'm not ready for a full video breakdown on Wiggins after one game. Let's save this and look at it after his 1st season is over.

Great video, but I agree with others too many long term assumptions, that being said keep doing what you're doing, the scouting and editing was very high quality

Very good, objective analysis. He definitely loves that step back jumper, which we saw in Summer League quite a bit too. I think it's a good weapon to have because he can get such a clean shot off with it, but yeah, he seems to over-use it a bit when he should be attacking more off the dribble.

Excellent work, drk...please keep it up. Your editing really provides a platform for the board to evaluate our players. I only watched the first 5 minutes of your video so I don't know whether you also highlighted AW on defense. If not, please add this to your analysis. Often I get wrapped in the flow of the game, and have a difficult time watching one player defensively, so isolation videos like yours are really helpful.

After so many blown draft picks, I'm taking a wait and see attitude with Wiggins. But I like what I see so far. He seems like the type of player that can make a positive impact on the game without putting up great stats. Sort of like another player we have...Ricky Rubio. Doh.

The question of whether he can be a dominating go-to player probably won't be answered for 2 to 3 years.
