NBA Opening Night
Spurs are the spurs. They win missing 2 starters from the finals.
AD going out and backing up why ESPN has him ranked as the best PF in the game today.
Rockets and Lakers on right now. Curious to see how Kobe looks.

Re: NBA Opening Night
Wow just looked at that NO ORL box score nobody could shoot but AD what a game. Nikola V. earning that paycheck gobbling up rebounds.

Ya i didnt watch the game but i assume some of Nikolas rebounds were off of Davis's blocks lol
Re: NBA Opening Night
Davis was a beast tonight. 26/17/9blks! Orlando had no body who can matchup with him but still a beastly performance tonight. This will be a breakthrough season for him. The pelicans are going to be another competition for us in this tough western conference.
Spurs win. Pop has like a 94% winning record in season openers. Im not surprised they won a 1 pt game over dallas while missing kawhi, tiago and mills.

I was just looking at the box score from the Rockets Lakers game and Houston's bench...wow at this point that doesn't scare anyone.
Scott looks bad as a coach? IDK who I would say is a good fit for that roster. Seriously that might be the toughest job in the league this year. I almost feel bad for Scott that he took the job. He is one of those guys thats above average, but not really good. Sadly for him he is likely just a placeholder till something happens which probably means something bad. lol

Ouch! Julius Randle just broke his leg. It happened in similar fashion when Bud tore his meniscus: there was "incidental" contact that caused him to kick/trip over his own leg. In Bud's case, the kick caused a meniscus tear in his knee. Randle's kick to the back of his front leg actually broke his leg (between the ankle and knee).

Wow that really sucks. I really liked him in the draft and he was the one thing Lakers fans had to look forward to and now all they have is Kobe for this season I guess. SMH

That really sucks. I think the Lakers didn't look at him as the answer for them getting back to the finals, but a good trading chip. This doesn't help his value. i wonder if he will be back by All-star break.

Yup, as long as they stay healthy, New Orleans will be a tough matchup. Asik and Anthony Davis make for a pretty imposing frontcourt. This runs counter to the narrative that everyone starts a small-ball stretch 4 these days. Duncan and Splitter. Gasol and Randolph. Gortat and Nene. Lopez and Aldridge. Gasol and Noah. These are big, strong frontcourt pairings. I love Thaddeus Young, but he's going to be undersized against a lot of NBA starting frontcourts. In an ideal world, Bennett gets really good, really fast and Young comes off the bench. Doubt that happens this year. It's also why I think Dieng should play some PF. Should be interesting to see how Flip handles some of these matchups.
