Home opener - Wolves/Pistons GDT

Post by 60WinTim »

I guess I'll beat LST to it today...

Judging from the poll, most everyone thinks this is a game the Wolves will win. A blowout would be nice so LaVine (and others?) can see the floor, but the moment you start thinking "blowout", well then it never happens. So I'll just be happy with a win.

Sounds like Martin expects to be back tonight. That should put GR3 in a suit, and if Turiaf were available, Hummel would be in a suit.,too. We could have used him last night when Dieng got dinged.

No Monroe, so hopefully Pek does something more than wet his pants. Looked like Bazz earned minutes over Bud, so we might see less Brewer and no Bud. Especially if Wiggins can earn a few more minutes than last night.

I want to see a win and I want to see some individual improvement.

I'll be curious to see if Lavine gets some burn before it becomes a blowout. I would think Flip would want to give him minutes right along with guys like Bazz, Bud, and Brewer, just to see how he handles it. I think the level of play is close enough amongst our wings, that Flip may experiment with several different lineups over the first month. I still think Lavine is our best hope for a closer type player on this roster, and am hoping that he at least gets a chance to prove it.

Whose talking about a blowout? Shouldn't we win a game first before we talk about a blowout?

I watched the end of the Memphis game again. Flip commented about the "momentum changing" call at 2:20, where the refs completely missed Zach poking the ball away from Rubio. Absolutely a terrible call.

Flip did the offense for defense swap at the end with Pek and Dieng. I gotta think he wished he started doing that sooner. We have to remember these early games are not only a chance for players to develop chemistry, but for Flipto learn who he can count on in different situations. Just as long as we win a few of these games while they figure everything out!

Bummer. I really wanted to see this team without Brewer to start the game. Oh well.

Have they announced injury updates yet? Martin? Turiaf? How's Dieng's hand?

Martin is good to go, but no starting. Turiaf is still out. GR3 is the 2nd guy in a suit.

Tim that was the worst call I've seen in a while. The officiating was terrible.
