The Wolves begin the season playing 3 games in 4 nights. Four times! And with 3 day breaks after each one, they'll have plenty of practice time to work on their weaknesses.

My hand hovered over that 2-1 dot for awhile, but like a Ouija Board, the force took me over to the 1-2. Memphis on the road and Chicago are tough matchups for Pek and Young. We played really well against the Bulls in the preseason finale, so 2-1 is not out of the question, but I'm afraid 1-2 is more like it. Unfortunately, we are on the back end of a BTB in the one game we will be favored in, but I think our improved depth will make BTBs less ominous this year.

Not much respect for the Wolves tonight as an 8-point dog in Memphis.

Yeah, I went with the KOM prediction of 1-2, too. But I have this funny feeling the Wolves will make a statement starting tonight: WE WILL NOT BE IGNORED!

So yeah, Drew's Playoff Cruise Ship departs tonight for a 24-day trip navigating through the four sets of 3-games-in-4-nights. Although Drew is not aboard. Phenom, Bloop and I have State Rooms. What.Com and Doper have inside suites. And LST, CDanger and Maels were there to wave us bon voyage. The next departure date is November 26th...

Hmm... I think the schedule this first month is very favorable for a team with young players, new systems and needing to build chemistry. 3 game in 4 nights, and then 3 days off to work on the most glaring weaknesses in those 3 games. And we get to repeat the sequence 4 times. We should have a real good idea what this team will look like after the first 12 games.

I didn't know if you saw us waving from the pier, tim...hope you guys have a safe voyage. Carlos, Maelstrom and I talked on the dock for awhile, kind of lamenting we didn't join you, but also recognizing that some of the forecasted stormy weather might have made us seasick. I'll be back at the dock on the 29th if things go well, begging for a bunk in the brig!
