Wait where did you hear this? JJ wasn't claimed off waivers which means his contract had to get paid off by Glen. If you're right and JJ took the vet min as his buyout he would be pretty selfless considering he didn't have to agree to a buyout at all and had like 4M left on his deal.
It was tweeted by a media guy can't remember which one. If I was offered 900k and the chance of playing limited minutes for a good team or getting paid 4+M and not getting any playing time I know which option I would take.
I haven't seen the conditions of JJ's buyout but I'm assuming he got paid a good chunk of the money remaining on his contract.
It was tweeted by a media guy can't remember which one. Sorry I worded that poorly what I meant was the buyout savings of the contract was the vet min not the buyout. So JJ got around 3.5 million instead of 4.5 million his original deal was for and the Wolves saved around a million or whatever. You bring up a good point JJ should get a little credit for taking the buyout too even if it wasn't as big as I led you to believe. :)
