Yup. It sure seemed that was where he would wind up. And I fully expect Ray Allen will sign as well, sometime after the Love deal is completed.

longstrangetrip wrote:I have to admit I'm actively cheering against the Cavs this year. As everyone knows, I'm not a fan of Kevin Love's act, and I also tend to cheer against assembled "super teams". So, I'm happy with their slow start out of the gate...1-2 with a home loss to the Knicks, a blowout loss to Portland last night (who looked really good, by the way), and an overtime victory over a Bulls team that was missing Rose and Gibson late in the game. At this rate, it's a long way to 55 wins.
Here's what I attribute their poor start:
1) Defense: James is an elite defender, but the rest of the Cavs' starting lineup is not very good. Portland shot 50% last night, and seemed to have guys open every possession.
2) Kyrie Irving: I predicted a breakout season for Kyrie this year, and so far that looks like a terrible prediction. He was absolutely terrible last night, dribbling around too much before jacking up an ill-advised shot (3-17 from the field). Shooting under 35% for the season.
3) Other teams get fired up to play the Cavs, and it shows. Portland was not very good in its first three games, but looked great last night. Same thing with the Knicks on opening night.
4) Bench: Other than Tristan Thompson's terrific rebounding, the Cavs' bench has been terrible. Marion, Miller, Haywood and Jones look old, and nobody else looks capable of contributing. If they play up to their potential, the Bulls have the best starting five in the NBA, but their bench looks dreadful. I suspect Blatt is smart enough to not burn his stars out, so the bench is going to get a lot of minutes...they are going to have to step up if the Cavs want to meet expectations.
I'll make the same disclaimer we all make in the first week of the season...it's early. But isn't the Wolves' 1-2 record a lot more fun than the Cavs' 1-2 record?

Can't blame Love. He's been by far the best player so far
