Question: Some of you believe that Chicago can beat Cleveland in a seven game series... I think that's a dumb statement to make until we see what kind of player Rose is, but if he's back, then I can understand that thinking. BUT do any of you really think Chicago can beat San Antonio, Oklahoma City or Los Angeles (Clippers)? So much has been made about the Bulls/Cavs that the focus has never been Bulls/Western Conference winner.

You're ready to throw jabs at Love for never carrying a team to the playoffs, but neglect that Rose has played in 49 games over the past three years. Whatever you say, LST.

Just curious...do those 49 games played include or exclude the 22 playoff games Rose has played over the past three years?

22 playoff games my ass. He got injured in Game 1 of the first round against Philly in the 2012 playoffs (2011-12 season). Try again?

I'm still not seeing those "22 playoff games over the past three years". Last time Rose won a playoff series it was during the 2010-11 season. Wake up call for LST. This is 2014. Guess who was good in 2010-11? Amar'e Stoudemire... The league's different and Rose is an unknown right now, which is the point I was making. If you're going to hate on the Cavs because Love never made the playoffs in the absurdly tough West, how can you not bring up that Rose hasn't played NBA basketball in two and a half years? Oh, right, because you're 110% anti-Kevin Love.

Man, those years really went by fast.

How about this, then: Total career playoff points: Rose- 729
Love -The same number as Alexey Shved

Nice game for your homeboy tonight, Kiwi...19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 3 blocks...and still 8 minutes to go! Good call on MIP.

So, when Love gets to the playoffs, he's not gonna be able to shoot or rebound or pass anymore? Damn, that's crazy. The funny thing is that you're comparing Rose to Love like Rose is the superior player right now. 2010 Rose is. You don't know anything about 2014 Rose. See, I know that Love's still gonna be good for 20/10/4 this year. Can you say with any certainty what Rose will produce?

He's is gonna be massive for the Thunder this year. Perfect compliment to KD and Russ. Hopefully Brooks realizes that Kendrick Perkins is garbage and Adams starts from Day 1. Shot 7 from 8 in the first pre season game and 8 from 9 tonight. Not to mention he's averaged 2.5 blocks.

That's just it...we don't know how Love is going to perform when he finally gets to the playoffs...or Irving, Waiters or Thompson, for that matter. Because the next playoff game each of them plays will be their first. I picked the Cavs as the most talented team, but I can't pick a team with four starters who have never sniffed the playoffs to win at all. Players and coaches always talk about how different the playoffs are from the regular season, and how some players step up and others collapse. Just like some players are 4th quarter players and some aren't. We know how the Spurs' and Bulls' key players fare in the playoffs, but for 80% of the Cavs' starting lineup, it's just a guess. The last time LBJ formed a big 3, the other two stars had plenty of playoff experience...it's different this time.

If we want some kind of clue how Love handles the pressure of the big game, we can look at how he performed in the most important game of his life so far...the NCAA championship game. Coincidentally, against Rose.

Love shot 4 for 11 for 12 points, and was outrebounded by Mbah a Moute.

Rose went 25-9-4.

I'll take the experienced team in a big game every time.

Is this a joke? You're looking at a college performance to help your point about NBA PLAYOFF games? Do you not realize how much you're reaching? I'm going to skip over that part of your post.

The last time LeBron formed a big three, the other two players were All-Stars and he was the best player in the world. That has happened yet again, except Love is better than Bosh, and the supporting cast in Cleveland is arguably better than the one in Miami was.

And yet again, you have no idea how Rose is going to be this year. You're posting as though he'll be MVP Rose when nothing has been shown to support that. Love's coming off a 26/13/4 season. Also, I've seen you make the point about players coming back to their normal selves a year AFTER the year that they come back. You've made that point for Ricky Rubio, Mike Pelfrey and likely several others. In that case, Rose won't be ready to lead the Bulls to the Finals, or past Cleveland.

Anyways, the point is that Love's talent (and Kyrie's) doesn't disappear just because the intensity of the game does. These are two of the top-20 players in basketball.
