2014-2015 schedule

We open the season with a back to back @memphis then at home vs detroit. Looking at our 1st 10 games. I could see us with 3-5 games during that stretch.

Just off a quick glance when I saw the schedule earlier...

By month:

1-1
6-7
6-9
9-8
3-8
6-10
3-5

Total: 34-48

Maybe we're better then I think we'll be. Flip still has some moves to make, though. February could be really ugly.

If we win 34 games, I'm betting it will be an awfully fun season, and definitely one to build on.

Let's be hypothetical and extremely optimistic for a second... What happens if Wiggins (or LaVine, doubtful) steps into the starting lineup from day one and scores 18-20 PPG right off the bat for the first month or two? Does that change our expectation for the season? And is that fair?

Wiggins is no Jordan, but I'm watching this documentary on NBATV about the '84 draft and it gets to the point of pro ball fitting MJ much better than college did. I can think of plenty of players that this goes along with, which brings me to the point. In my hypothetical/optimistic statement in the first paragraph, if Wiggins is a 20 PPG scorer right away, should we then start to think about the possibility of playoffs? Or would you keep expectations as they are now, where you try not to get carried away?

If wiggins can be a 18-20ppg scorer right away( I think its possible by the way). I would still keep my expectations of us winning 30+games and miss the playoffs. Simply because the west is tough and there will be a growing period for us as a team. I will however have expectations of making the playoffs the following season.

But at that point we'll have Love's scoring back, while being deeper and having better defense. Speaking for me personally, that would definitely change my expectations. I'd get playoff fever real quick if Wiggins shows 20 PPG production.

Somebody is going to have to score. If Wiggins gets 35 minutes he should at least average in the teens. Ricky is going to score more this season too.

I'll be interested to hear what Flip has to say about Wiggins when he is finally able to say what he likes about him. He was really happy to get LaVine and GR3 (#7 and #21 on his draft board) imagine how excited he will be about Wiggins who was #1.

Yeah, that's quite a draft when you think about it.

Now we just need somebody to step up and emerge as a superstar. Just like about 25 other teams need.
