LaVine's damn-I-see-some-of-him-in-his-game comparison is Kobe Bryant. And now I put on my realistic hat...
Ceiling: Vince Carter
Middle Ground: Jamal Crawford with more explosiveness
Floor: Gerald Green

Probably in the form of how Green's career went. Great athleticism paired with shooting ability. Showed a couple seasons of what you knew he was capable of, but couldn't put it together til he was 28. I don't see LaVine falling to that, though.

Nice interview with LaVine

Re: Lavine
LaVine is an interesting player because he's super athletic, and has a knack for scoring, he can also really handle the ball and shows nice passing at times. There are a lot of guys you could kind of compare his style to. I thought of a smaller Tracy McGrady, I'm talking style of play here, not PPG we can expect. Kinda like Jarryd Bayless or even Iverson. Almost a little Spree in there. Crawford and good Gerald Green you can definitely see.
He's super skinny, and that will be an issue, especially defensively if he has to guard guys who can post up. And he shoots a bit off balance, which always makes me a little wary. but he's really smooth with the ball and gets shots off quickly. If he can knock down the 3 consistently, I think we could've gotten a real offensive spark with this guy, which includes his passing, which looks good. He's got an instinct for getting defenders moving and finding the open man with a nice pass. If he can have the discipline to know when to score and when to get other guys the ball, he could be a really good offensive player.

The more I think about this draft, the more I think that while there are no sure-fire superstars, there are probably a dozen really good NBA players coming out of this draft, and a few chances at some stars, which is really deep. A guy like James Young at 17 could end up being a great player. LaVine. Marcus Smart. McDermott. Not to mention Parker and Wiggins. Man, I think this is going to be a fun draft class to follow.

Lol I'll wager almost anything that James Young doesn't become a great player, but that's besides your point. I get what you're saying, Drew.

I know this doesn't mean anything yet... But I can't help how much I'm loving LaVine so far. Check out this Instagram post with the caption: "Home". Gotta enjoy that.
