BigTen, I didn't disappear from the ESPN board but I disappear from this board a lot. Just with life but what makes it further is that my workplace apparently bans Enjin, and since I can't think of a way to convince them that it's a work related website, I am relegated to this in my spare time :)

That sucks. I disappeared from here for quite a while too. Your work place probably bans all gaming related sites which enjin is. So glad my work doesn't have any restrictions like that.
I remember a little political or off topic chatter over the years but it generally wasn't too crazy and didn't happen too often.
I think the thing about this group is its small enough that everyone kinda realizes the quirks and hard stances guys make at times and realize not to get all offended. For example I actually miss Jason even though he would go off on people because he had some really interesting takes that were well thought out and I love how he coined the phrase Poo Poo plater of free agents. Lol
The bottom line is that a lot of us seem to respect each other and I think if we ask people for their reasoning and we listen to what the other person has to say then a lot of thoughts and arguments posters make have some merit. I think it was Cool who was so negative about Love that I thought he might do something awful if the 2 ever met but once he explained his stance I thought I really got where he was coming from.
Anyway its been fun thinking about some of the old time and old posters. Anyone know where Chuckdorn is? It was always great to get an outsider's opinion here.
One of my faults on here is that when a topic starts to trend in a way that I disagree with, it might take dozens of posts and several days before I build up enough angst to react. Then it all comes out in a rant that can be abbrasive and it looks like I'm reacting to one poster or single post. But the reality is I'm just venting in general. So I hope no one ever takes my harsh takes too personally. I can't think of anyone on the board I truly dislike. Khans and I used to go at it like badgers, but I think we better understand each other now and are more tolerant to each others style.

Just to play off of this, I don't truly dislike anyone on here either. I've gotten into some very strong arguments with just about everyone on the board, but it's always been about basketball for me and nothing more. This board is easily the best place for me to discuss sports.

cool, I like you and enjoy reading your takes. I just remember a long time ago (I'm talking 3+ years now) we had a disagreement and were both being a bit hard headed, and I recall you really disliking me. I remember we eventually put it behind us and have been great ever since. I didn't bring it up to call you out, I just thought of it as a funny thing from way back. I've always enjoyed the board. I will admit though, I definitely miss the ESPN boards, being able to go between the Vikings and Wolves board in an instant and being able to see what was going on with opposing teams and their conversations, particularly on players/situations of interest.
To be honest, this board moves from one thread to another so quickly that I don't even remember who I get into heated arguments with. I'm pretty sure I've had arguments with everyone, but the nice thing is the board moves so quickly that I end up agreeing with the same people I was just in an argument with.
