The easiest salary dump out there is Amare at 20+ million. Would anyone want the 1 year atrocity to help clear clear out the long-term clutter? Maybe Pek/Bud/JJ/Shved for Amare. He could start next to Dieng or Ronny. They might prefer the cap space, but you never know. I do think Pek is worth cap space because his deal is so long and I don't see many 4's that can do what needs to be done defensively next to him that we could get.

I'd be all for it if NY threw in their 2015 1st rounder

I'd even do Pek and Shved for Bargs and Hardaway

Today, would you trade Kevin Love for Paul George and David West?

For sure. I expect PG to be healthy in a year and a half, and David West can hold down the PF spot for a few years

I'm not throwing Pekovic away, and it doesn't make sense to. Not to mention the Knicks likely don't do that deal either. They're likely going after another star player to put next to Melo.

No. George's injury is a scary and very serious one. I hope he recovers fully and get back to where he was but il rather stay out of it.

All in for wiggins.

Pretty specific timetable (hmmmm...) from Charley Walters after talking with Glen Taylor recently on Love trade:

he Timberwolves say now that they expect to trade disgruntled all-star Kevin Love and that a deal is expected Aug. 23 or Aug. 24. I'm saying it's most likely because Kevin has made it pretty clear that that's what he wants to do, Wolves owner Glen wrote:The Timberwolves say now that they expect to trade disgruntled all-star Kevin Love and that a deal is expected Aug. 23 or Aug. 24.

"I'm saying it's most likely because Kevin has made it pretty clear that that's what he wants to do," Wolves owner Glen Taylor told the Pioneer Press.

Taylor's preference, though, is that Love remain in Minnesota. The August dates for a trade are because that's when the Cleveland Cavaliers officially can deal their first-round draft pick, Andrew Wiggins, to the Wolves.

Cleveland remains the strong bet for Love to join LeBron James. But the Wolves continue to listen to offers from Chicago and Golden State, with Philadelphia expected to be part of a three-team deal.

A Love trade could give the Wolves a brand new look, with multiple players coming and going.

"I think when you move somebody like Kevin, who's been an all-star, that you've got to get a number of players on your team that have the potential of replacing him," Taylor said. "Flip (Saunders, Wolves president) has looked at this team and offensively, he's got a pretty good team. Defensively, it's got to be better, so I think that's where some of the areas will be replaced."

Yeah, I sure hope Taylor doesn't get fined, or worst yet, screw up the trade!
