"#Twolves prefer Young, I hear. And it's not close. RT @JeremyCebula @DarrenWolfson @WindhorstESPN rather have Young or Bennett?"

This brings me so much happiness.

Cam as a Thad fan what do you think he would fetch for a contract if he had been a FA? I know there are a lot of factors which makes it hard and I understand that but what do you think? I ask because I'm a little conflicted about his value if you couldn't tell from my posts. Lol

Difficult question, especially with how this market was. I'd say $8-10M a year is fair value. Couldn't see him getting more than $10M a year.

As a comparison, last year Paul Millsap signed with Atlanta for two-years, $19M ($9.5M per). Young's under Millsap's level of play so maybe a four year, $36M deal would be about what he got.

Thanks for the response. I think you are thinking pretty reasonably there actually. With 9 million the top anyone else is going to pay Young I see his value higher because the Wolves have a good chance of keeping him for a deal that would make him a guy making over the mid-level but nowhere near the max. Let's say he opts out and then gets the 4 years 36 million you said was your guess of what he may have gotten this year. That's a little over 3 million more than Bennett would be making right? You know you are gonna have at least a pretty solid player with Thad. I'm not endorsing the deal suggested above just looking at the value of keeping him long term which I wasn't sure looked like a good bet or would have been too expensive to be worth it. Hopefully that makes sense.

I'd be happy securing him for $9 million a year, but the cap will be higher and if there is any kind of bid war we may have to cough up more than we'd like to keep him. If we can lock up him up after we acquire him for $10 mill or less a year we should. The Gordon Heyward deal kind of scares me as you never know what free agency can bring.

One thing I've found interesting is that some Sixer fans that seem like they have well thought out posts or in this case maybe a legit-ish media type actually think Shved may have some value in the trade. Sounds great to me probably too good to be true. lol

I looked back through stats from Philly's teams from Thad's rookie year on and yeah he had plenty of guys in his way to get minutes in many cases. Also when he takes a higher volume of 3 pointers the percentages aren't too shabby especially if he is playing as a PF. If Thad is here and we sign him to maybe be a starter or a super sub where does that leave Bazz or GR3 in addition to Wiggins? Once again its kind of hilarious that we don't have a PF on this team beyond Love thats kinda been our thing we have actually been able to find. Maybe Flip will ask McHale to help him out in the next draft. LOL

Looks like its going to be wiggins, young and a pick to us with love and possibly jj out.

Im happy with this. Young can contribute right away and wiggins will be having a big chip on his shoulder to prove himself now.

Were not going to be a playoff team but we should be fun to watch as a fast paced run and gun team with rubio at the helm.

The short-sighted "win now" philosophy under Adelman lost us the chance to draft Terrence Jones who we essentially gave up for Budinger. He would have been a nice replacement for Love, especially since he will still be on a rookie deal.

82games didn't like Young last year (we know he had a down year playing on a very bad team), but the threes before that 82games like Thad a bunch!
