You're selling him short, Cam...Bennett will win at least one championship!

Camden wrote:I really hope that was just smoke from Flip. Trade Bennett and some expirings to Philly for Young and let's get ready for the season. Essentially coming away from all of this with Wiggins, Young and that Miami 1st round pick is a big win, though I wish Waiters would have been involved, but it isn't that big of a deal that he isn't.

Edit: Getting Wiggins, Young and Bennett would also be a big win, though not my first preference. I'll stand behind Flip on this. He's been pretty damn good through all of this.

Flip has been good. And you're right...he's pretty good at blowing smoke too. So even though I like the rumors today, it's perhaps more likely that Flip is merely trying to build up Bennett's value...that would be the smart thing to do if he really covets Young.

Or how about Flip Tells them if they want to unload Young for expirings & 2nds then great, otherwise pass. I don't care if it ends up being the 25th pick next year, don't give the 1st. The Wolves don't NEED him. They are retooling anyway and making the playoffs will be very very tough. Keep the long term assets.

If the Sixers cave then awesome we get Wiggins/Bennett/Young/1st out of the whole deal. Otherwise lets see what else Flip can pick up for cheap at PF.

I'd rather go get Young. Bennett OR that 1st can go for Young, but I prefer it be Bennett. For the record, I wouldn't give both. Philly would be greedy to stay put on demanding both.

Shit if they wanted both, they have to give up their #1 next year. I just don't think it's wise to give up a 1st that could be a pick as high as #11 in June 2015 or unprotected pick in June 2016.

Can you imagine what that would look like if the Heat go down in flames & end up with a top 5 pick in 2016 that would have been the Wolves? Lets not just discard this pick as being near worthless.

Do the Cavs actually have 4 picks in 2015? If so I'd think Flip could get either the Cavs own or the Kings pick that they could swap for Young while keeping the MIA 1st.

Reason why I would prefer to give up Bennett... Plus I just don't think he's that good.

I don't think the Heat will go down in flames. They seem to have something to prove and with Paul George's injury, I think they're a lock to make the playoffs. That takes a little value off the pick for me.
