I agree. Let's see if they introduce him at a news conference as teams always do. I'd not, I think we can assume a deal is in the works.

I see what you guys are saying, but unless an agreement is already in place, I don't think it changes the marketing as it's a completely separate department and I think there's about zero chance the management staff is going to tempt their fate by sharing the status of negotiations with web designer.

And I think unless a deal is in place or they're to the point where it's a virtual lock, they have to continue to do business as usual on the rest of operations.

Good points - and hello gents! Glad to be a part of the site.Must say, Lipoli that your prediction that leaked to RealGM the other day lured me here. While the timeframe may not have matched, I think in general you will be right.

Apparently Flip said on the Funkadelic that he's not looking to move Dieng (duh) or Martin (I figured). That makes sense in both trade scenarios (Cleveland and Chicago).

The 30 day wait will be a long one. Im hoping we end up with wiggins + thad young and a first after all this is said and done.

3 way trade with philly is my desired outcome

To cavs - Love, brewer, turiaf
To philly- waiters,bennet, jj
To wolves- wiggins, young, cavs expirings, moultrie(from sixers) 2 first from cavs.

This seems like a fair trade and fits the agenda of all 3 teams. Philly gives up young who will likely opt out after next season and get 2 young players in waiters and bennet while taking on jj's contract. This could be tweaked though if cavs want a pg to backup kyrie. They could get jj from us while sending haywood to sixers or get manor from the sixers in exchange of haywood.

We start the season with

Wiggins
Young
Pek
Rubio
Martin

I will look to explore if we can make a couple of trades to balance out the roster. How about bazz for norris cole? Would be a nice backup to rubio and lavine can play sg. Mbam/bud+moultrie for jason thompson?

If Waiters is on the table (along with Wiggins), which he might be, then we need to keep him.

I still think you are cutting the Wolves short on this one. Do you really think Young is worth Waiters AND Bennett? They hold more value than that IMO and I'm certain the Wolves could get them to take JJ for a 2nd + cash. JJ is likely to have more value at the deadline anyway. You are basically giving either Waiters or Bennett away to the Sixers for free.

Think about it this way.. You are willing to trade 2/4 or 2/5 of those CLE assets for Young. Which means you are pretty much saying Love is only worth Wiggins, the MEM pick & the MIA pick.

Bennett + Barea would be fair value for Young. They can take it or leave it.

Or at most flip him alone for a PF like Young while keeping Bennett to come off the bench. Don't just give 1 of them away. I've said it before though. If the Wolves trade Martin then getting Waiters makes way more sense. If they keep Martin then I might look to flip him b/c I see Martin/Lavine at with Lavine also getting PG minutes at some point.

Agreed. I'm up for seeing either Bennett or Waiters on the team though. I like Bennett's potential (especially after fixing the medical condition & dropping weight) as a stretch 4 which we'll be losing with Love leaving.

Can't be a "stretch four" if you don't make perimeter shots. Bennett hasn't shown that he can.
