(off-topic) Does anyone know of a good Vikings forum?

Post by BloopOracle »

The Wolves and Vikings are the only two teams I religiously follow and I never did find a forum especially as good as this one after ESPN shut theirs down. Any suggestions would be great.

http://forums.kffl.com/forums/25-Minnesota-Vikings <- Used to be really good but now it's dead outside of game day or big news. On the other hand the poster tend to be knowledgeable and entertaining.

http://thevikingnation.proboards.com/ <- Much more active than above but with way to much drama most of the time.

Sadly I'm not aware of anything else.

Bloop, I don't post at rubechat, but I do read there occasionally. They have a very lively Vikings chat group, although as with all rubechat sections, you do have to put up with goofballs sometimes. I haven't followed the Vikings much the past three years because I play baseball most Sunday mornings and Vikings games usually start at 10 here in LA. But with an October move back to the Midwest (and an improving team). I'm sure I'll be following them more this year. Maybe we can generate some Viking talk here.

Some of the people from the ESPN board went to First & Skol. http://firstandskol.freeforums.org/purple-prattle-f15.html

I wish they would have come here. I like this format loads better.

As much as I like the guys on this forum, I would happily engage in more Viking discussion on the Vikings board here. I post on Viking Nation once in a while, but there numbers have dropped significantly and the quality of conversation just isn't there.

Vikings Journal was just started up by the Twins Daily folks. It's not real active yet but I suspect that it will pick up.

I'll be posting on the Vikings board here every once in a while. I won't be as active there as here because I actually have people in town that are Vikings fans and watch the games with so a message board isn't needed as much for my fandom outlet in that sport. =)

I wish I could have gotten more to switch but I failed miserable, especially on the Twins side of things. There was about 8-10 of is who posted regularly, but the only one I knew who made the switch besides me was Jason and he barley posts anymore.
