You're right, Matt. But Flip could me making some trades. It's a bit frustrated to watch this team do nothing to improve the roster. On the other hand, I'd rather Flip do nothing than something that would hurt the team long term.
Understand your frustration Lip, but so much is up in air with this Love situation. We really don't know what positions we need to fill yet let alone the personnel. Once the chaos of free agency dies down there will be a few bargain buys still available.
Evan Turner would be a solid acquisition imo, if we could obtain him in a sign in trade or sign him for the MLE. Would be a good fit with Rubio with his ability to handle the rock.

Maybe you are right but on the other hand its the Lakers and they offer something a lot of other teams might not. Significant opportunity for playing time. Nobody is truly a lock for any bigman position and Jordon Hill will probably be hurt for 20 games so Davis will likely have a shot to play and maybe even start. Not many if any other team can offer that so signing with the Lakers might look good from that perspective.
Lakers win the bid and get Carlos Boozer. My sources say they barely beat out the next highest bid of 4 bags of Cheetos with a bid of 5 bags of Cheetos and a 20% coupon off hotdogs at the Staples Center.
@WojYahooNBA: Lakers waiving guard Kendall Marshall, but have interest in bringing him back on a new deal if he clears waivers, league sources tell Yahoo." I'd love him as a backup to Rubio, although he isn't much of a scoring threat.
