Kg is done as a player. I dont know why he is even being discussed here for his character or as possible trade target( which trigger the debate about his character in the 1st place!)

The fact that kg still wont retire despite being a shadow of the shadow of his former self and choose to pocket the 11-12m he is due despite having no chance at a title, no real ties to the city he curently plays in or the fact that he cant play anymore speaks volumes about his character and where he is at now. He is the best player in franchise history but he is the past now, lets move on and focus on what needs to be done to move this franchise forward.

So Garnett has character issues because he wants to collect his $11M paycheck? You better feel the same way about Steve Nash. And the rest of the players in the NBA for that matter.

Speaking of Steve Nash, I'd love to sign him and have him here mentoring Ricky.

It sounded to me more like people begged him to come back than he desparately wanted to play or just cash a paycheck which let's be honest about one thing rip KG all you want about this or that but he isn't playing just for a paycheck. I agree with LST maybe let's move on to another topic.

Cam, my point is kg is done as a player. He cant even stay healthy nowadays.

He won his championship, A hall of famer but he has nothing left in the tank. No need for him to play on. To be honest, I dont think he can even be a difference maker for a contending team playing off the bench. It has been ugly to watch him play the last season.

As others pointed out, lets move on from him.

Man, that Livingston deal is an absolute joke. $5M per for a guy that in his BEST year just averaged 9ppg, 3 rpg, 3 apg in 26 minutes. These are the types of deals the Wolves are usually very eager to hand out. Flip needs to simply drop the checkbook into the bottom of Lake Minnetonka until about 2 weeks from now, and then retrieve and write some very small checks to the remaining vets. Guys like Livingston and Meeks, while fine players, are never going to live up to their contracts. It seems the best way to move forward as a team is to pay extremely good players $10M+ and mix with guys at near vet min. I have always said, the guys with the worst contracts are always these mid-level guys. Look at all the guys we want to move....Martin, Barea, LRMAM, Bud, Brewer. What do they have in common? All mid-level type contratcs that could fairly easily be replaced with guys making 1/2 of what they make.

On a related note, I'd love to sign Nash as an assistant coach if we can't pry Chauncey too.

I would suggest you pay attention to Lip's posts regarding KG. The one thing I would add is that he has more likely become worse since leaving here rather than having matured some. Lip, I liked how you described him as immature which suits him perfectly. Here are a few more adjectives I would use:

Prick, Sonofabitch, cocksucker, asshole, dumbass, racist, bully, pinhead, douche bag, chicken shit, moron, cretin, testicle, hinder, lily liver, pussy, felcher, ball sniffer, simpleton, jerk, divot, balloon knot, and rusty bullet hole

I think that about covers it. And don't throw what Keyon Dooling said out here. We all have eyes and most of us know if it looks like a a w w duck, quacks like a duck, it's probably a duck.[/quot
Not only did I get a chuckle out of this, but I also learned a few new insult words!

Its ironic that u think KG is immature and yet dedicate a whole paragraph to adolescent name calling ?

It may have been in poor taste, but obviously I am not a KG fan. Like LST mentioned, he found some humor in it and that was most of the intent. If it was overly offensive to some of you, my bad. But this board is too serious sometimes and I was hoping to give some of you a chuckle.

Detroit gave Villinueava and Ben Gordon those ridiculous contracts a few years ago so it comes as no surprise they gave Meeks 3 years 19 Mil. They never learn.

These contracts being handed out make Brewers and to a lesser extent Budingers not look too bad at all.

Thank god we don't have the cap space.
